I agree, I am constanly working on getting that next great gear piece, there is alot of fun too be had in that part of the game too. I'm also certainly not saying there are no bad wms out there, just suggesting that when DDs complain ALL the mages they play with are bad they really need to look into their skills. Same goes for gear, if you find yourself saying "if only I had this ____ set, I would be awesome" chances are high it's not the gear.

As a carreer whm sitting in the back I have seen guys with really great gear suck, quite frankly. And I have also seen guys with sort of patchwork quilt gear, but they know how to make the most out of it, really shine. I admit I only dabble with dd and my gear is lax, but I seek those really good dds out and check out their gear swaps and talk to them alot about ws timing and just practice. Go out and duo with them and learn about how to give and take hate, when to hold your wad and when to...wait a minute this is starting to sound like "the gambler" from kenny rodgers

The rest of the (High) Kindred Crests not used Magian trials are gonna be used for a new Battlefield with incredibly strict requirements on the party roster. Maybe purely job-specific. The drops will be so overwhelmingly amazing though, including upgrade items for AF3...+3.

I'm still of the belief that they will not completely 180 the game again though. The general consensus is that people are enjoying abyssea a lot more than the way the game used to be. We shall see either way though. I'm sure you'll complain no matter what happens.

Most salvage drops were minor upgrades from existing items. Most AF3+1/2 etc drops are massive upgrades from existing items - that is why Salvage got raped outside of its better pieces. SE couldn't both introduce new progression and yet keep Salvage gear on top ... it followed the old philosophy of "work hard for +1 stat".

Why would you not take them into account. Atma makes fstr irrelevant, any DD using proper food and dia3 caps pdif, accuracy is irrelevant due to atma. What's left ? crits, "augment" stuffs and other artificial boosts ; and no haste is irrelevant because almost everyone caps with previous gear or previous gear + non AF3+2 gear.

sometimes my brain wanders off when reading pchan's posts and I forget that it was today that the person I am about to post a reply to hoping for a competent answer is in fact the same person who JUST tried to tell us BRD and COR are less useful than a PLD inside of Abyssea.

There is still alot of gear in the old abyssea zones that are good.

Not to mention you still need to get 50 items for one of the stages of abyssea weapons there.

Honestly, Pchan, you are just way to butt hurt that Salvage gear got outdated.

You have never even stepped foot in abyssea so learn to stfu about things you have no idea about.

Honestly, the funny thing to me is, Abyssea really is just a larger scale salvage with much greater rewards to me.
