To say your post itself isnt fanboisum? your also assuming that these jobs cant fill the role effectively, in which case they can, maybe there not as ubar as your drg, or your nin. but as long as they can fill the role to a point where it dosent matter, or even, simply have the potential to be as good as these jobs, does it really matter?
I think RDM will make a comeback IF, keyword IF, SE gives them Cure V by Lv99. Cure IV just isnt gonna cut it. HP is getting higher and higher especially with more atma becomomg accessible with each update. My RDM pushes out Cure IVs for about 520 in abyssea w/o lightsday/obi so it's not entirely horrible. Even then WHM just has the higher capacity of healing as it is intended to. Cure V will put RDM back on the curing field.
Or instead of making them a gimp WHM, give them a reason to be added to the pt other than curing? Give them Curse, virus, confuse, toad. etc Something unique to them so they have the enfeebling spot!

Drakesbane is one of the best WS in the game and DRG has an easy 5-hit with an OAT weapon. If you really think DRG is down there with DRK you should really think again.

BLU is one of the few jobs that can do a relatively high amount of damage in a short time frame without the need of using their Two Hour. But after that quick burst of damage, all they can really do is swing their swords around while they wait on recast timers and/or MP.
So it comes down to who can dish out the largest numbers the quickest, or over time. With or without support. Blah blah blah~ overall it's just a tug of war game between jobs that deal their damage differently (DoT>Burst vs. Burst>DoT vs. DoT=Burst) in a certain amount of time. Meaning some jobs will come out better then others depending on the length of the fight.
But I think we can all agree that BRW (Primeval Brew) is the best job in the game for any party/alliance/solo situations. However, its only nemesis is the HNM Paralyze that can instantly KO any BRW if they aren't careful.

Woah, I missed all of this. DRG anywhere near as weak as DRK? <_< DRG is an absolutely ridiculous DD if built properly and I'd definitely consider it top tier. I know this isn't the popular view but I play with high tier MNKs etc very often (no Emps yet though) and DRG definitely keeps up and often surpasses (though it obviously lacks in tanking ability etc).
DRG's hate shedding options I think deserve a mention if you are not sole DD. The ability to run in and deal tons of damage (Angon Sekka Drakes x2 Spirit Jump Drakes Soul Jump Drakes Meditate Drakes etc) and then simply Super Jump away all of the hate is mighty.
And yes, make our wyvern more sturdy <_> thing dies all of the fecking time.
