Ok First of all, look at what we have here... Insane gunman is unstable and already has a record of making violent threats on the internet and making hate statements at political websites and talking physical threats. He's not mentally well, and very unbalanced. Obvious he's violent and overreading into things and not seeing the truth in all of it. Very clouded judgement. ...with Arizona( IMO, not sure if it is true and all) and seeing that Bristol went and moved to Arizona.. she has seen that it is obvious that the woman shot does represent the democrats but has "centre-ist" views.. that perhaps Palin thinks she can be swayed.... with this type of equation... and Palin have a weird sense of humor about "targeting" these ppl or Making sure that the ppl in mention are " in crosshairs" of her conquest to sway these ppl in question, doesn't this make for a BAD EQUATION for someone who is unstably ill?
yes but as i stated before why was the mentally ill not being treated for his illness? Must we all be scared to express ourselfs in fear that a mentally ill person will take things the wrong way? If a mentally ill person plays ffxi and I say "someone should go blow up fafnir for old time sake" the mental person goes puts blows up a building belonging to the fafnir company (real company i work for company that use to be Fafnir) am i resposiable for the mental person taking it the wrong way?

Is it just me or did Fidel Castro seem more sympathetic in his condolences than Palin?

Quote:
Fidel Castro has denounced as "atrocious" a shooting attack on a U.S. lawmaker that left six people dead and the legislator in critical condition.

The Cuban revolutionary icon says in an opinion piece that even those, like him, who frequently disagree with the United States would never want to see violence like the attack Saturday in Tucson, Arizona, that left Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a Democrat, fighting for her life.

The dead included a federal judge and a 9-year-old girl. Thirteen people were wounded, 10 seriously.

"Even those of us who don't share at all the politics and philosophies (of the Obama administration) sincerely desire that no children, judges, legislators or citizens of the United States die in such an absurd and unjustifiable way," Castro wrote Sunday in a state media article.

Versus

Quote:
My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today's tragic shooting in Arizona.

On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice.

- Sarah Palin

Do not forgot that:
Quote:
In March, the congresswoman's office was vandalized. She told the network that she wasn't afraid. She said the corner where her office is was the location of many hundreds and hundreds of Tea Party activists congregated.

"The rhetoric is incredibly heated," she said. "Not just the calls, but the emails, the slurs. So, things have really gotten spun up."

As for the cross hair ad, this wasn't the first time it's been used in the political scene.

Although not as blatant, they do use the cross hair graphics. However, it is to demonstrate that his opponent was the 'target' of an investigation.

Whereas Palin's imagery is used to depict that these certain people need to be removed, because they voted for the health care bill.

However, there is no evidence that she influenced him in any way as of this time.

On a side note, I do find it funny on the very same day:

Sarah Palin's Alaska Canceled After Only One Season

But aside from any of this as far as the real investigation goes, there is no concrete evidence as to Loughner's motives, if they were political, or if it was even fueled by Palin and her tea party.

The only thing that they have said, and which I speculated in the beginning, was in fact he did not like the standard on which are money is on today. He was in fact a proponent of the gold and silver standard.

Quote:
Steven Cates, who attended an advanced poetry writing class with Loughner at Pima Community College last spring, said he didn't recall Loughner talking about politics.

"He didn't seem very interested in politics. Whatever politics were brought up in class, he seemed to tune it out," Cates said.

According to his cryptic Web postings, Loughner feared he was the target of government surveillance and considered police authority unconstitutional. He railed against the Education Department and questions the value of U.S. currency not backed by gold or silver.

"I can't trust the current government," he wrote in one video posted online, one of several expressing deep suspicion of authority. "The government is implying mind control and brainwash on the people by controlling the grammar."

Elsewhere, Loughner lists favorite books including "Mein Kampf" and "The Communist Manifesto," along with two novels about control of the masses, "Animal Farm" and "Brave New World."

The postings suggest Loughner is "a person who doesn't have a very concrete ideology," said Frederic L. Solop, chair of the Department of Politics and International Affairs at Northern Arizona University. "I don't see any reflection of a political party or a specific set of ideas."

"Left-wing potheads" that post anti-federal government views gain so much by trying to kill a Democrat.

It was actually Faux News where I found that video of Harry Mitchell using cross hairs. But as you can see from the video it's used to show that he was a 'target' of an investigation.

Alaska was purchased from the Russian Empire on March 30, 1867, for $7.2 million ($113 million in today's dollars) at about two cents per acre ($4.74/km²). The land went through several administrative changes before becoming an organized territory on May 11, 1912, and the 49th state of the U.S. on January 3, 1959.
