I see soil gorget in almost every set, but from what i understand shadow gorget would work just as well for the weaponskill. I already have shadow, so have been using it. Any problems with that?

People use soil because they most likely already had it, I know it's really useful for covering almost all the dagger WSs I'd use until I get love torque.

Shadow should work perfectly fine - it's just more difficult to get than soil is all (you can get the 10 xzomits for soil in a half an hour).

Also, soil works with aeolian (and career ninjas should carry an aeolian build on them or at least in the safe/satchel). Using soil over shadow for Hi saves one slot.

Good call. Use AE a lot as an alternative to FC burning, use all my all-job Mab equipment in that set as well. Though currently i use Uggy Pendant for AE since it's proc is forced due to having no inherent MP

There isn't too much of a difference between uggy pendant and the gorget, might want to check that out. I decided it wasn't worth carrying around that single piece for so little change since inventory is an issue :(.

*My aeolian build is halfassed though, it has more to do with what I'm already carrying around than getting that last 50-60 damage through unique gear choices.

Not quite sure how "var inc" works, but you can play around with it to figure it out.

You'd need AutoExec to get the most out of that. Have a command to increment/decrement the variable on gainbuff/losebuff and fire off a dummy spell to get you into the right gear immediately.

I got Blade Hi the other day ;D

this is what I'm rolling with atm:

for as little as I have played with it I'm pretty happy with the results.. also Taru Blade Hi is awesome animation.. back flip ftw :)

will be swapping pants with ambushers asap I got a pop just hadn't had time to get them yet.

missing 1 wieldence +2 item for Tekko hands so the ocelot are just temporary, also have been getting some sky pops to get some Seiryu's Kote, last time we killed there was no drop.

I don't know how I'm going to get my hands on Hachiryu Sune-Ate they seem like a pain in the *** or super expensive.

Only thing I'm not sure on is head really, I don't have AMK started, also don't own maat's cap, anything else better than what I got that I should be looking at? Maybe I'll do AMK not sure yet.

I'm more working on inside for now, maybe for outside swap to AF3 +2 body, +2 hands, back to Cuchulain's (if i get one), belt to soil and I still need me a pair of byakkos

BACKFLIP

Could try for a Shura Kabuto (+1) with WSDMG augment.

Hachi feet are definitely a pain in the *** to get, but it's not quite as bad as it used to be at least since Nauls in Abyssea give ~100 zeni/plate.

This is my Blade; Hi set for inside abyssea.

I'm now looking into making one for outside abyssea and would like some help on which pieces to replace.

The first ones i'm thinking of changing are body and hands for AF3+2 pieces but not sure on the rest.

This is my setup for outside abyssea.

Crit hit damage/ws damage+2% augments.

As for your weaponskill set in abyssea changes I would make are;

Stormsoul Ring to replace Breeze.
Aesir when Berserk down.
Anguinus Belt to replace Shadow Belt.
Swap in Shadow Gorget & Belt, AGI Earring when berserk up
and of course Anwig Salade if you have the option.

yeah I'm aware that Centaurus is better then Aesir however when Aesir is all jobs and Centaurus is only what.. 4 jobs? and I've got multiple that could benefit over Aesir :/ its not worth the inventory -1 when I'm already running around capped in most places for inventory, /rage over the gear you can't mule.

PLUS 3 conserve tp from aesir + 7 from shadow belt make it a nice even 10 ^^

How does Rancor Collar stack up to other options for inside considering the abundance of DA/TA?

Pretty damn good. At least in the case of evisceration, it'll beat out love torque even with RR and GH, I'd imagine it'd be of similar results for Hi.

Rancor > Hope > elemental gorget. My simulations had previously pointed to Hope outperforming Rancor inside Abyssea but going over them again just now I found an error; I'd updated the critrate cap for white damage but not for WS damage so I was getting less critrate than I should have if I was also using augmented Seiryu's Kote.

Bear in mind that Innin will take you well past the critrate cap inside Abyssea if using RR + GH.

Luckily they dropped in price on Asura. However, thanks to this, I may not have comfortable gil for my BB items now. Lol.

Would also depend on what you're fighting. If youre fighting a higher tier NM in a Heros zone, or even in Scars, you might be forced to use af2+2 for ws. Which with RR/GH and augmented kotes(+3) youll be capped on crit for ws with body or off by 1% making rancor neck's crit useless.

While the first hit doesnt really suffer from accuracy, the dual wield hit and any DA/TA still do, so thats something to consider.

I think it's been stated that Iga Dochugappa was a pretty solid piece for outside Hi, as well.

Also, Leonine Mask for head.
