I have skype+webcam which I use to talk to long-distance friends. If I am going to talk over ffxi, though, I generally will use vent and no webcam.
Sadly my linkshell seems to bounce on Skype, Ventrilo AND Mumble at this moment >_< wish we'd pick one lol.
For one on one conversation, or even three-way, Skype is best as far as overall quality and ease of use go.
But for big events with 5+ people, definitely gotta go with Ventrilo.
Haven't used TeamSpeak in years, so I dunno how well it measures up to the others now.

I personally use Skype since everyone in my LS uses it. It becomes especially helpful when we're all up late in Abyssea. The constant chatter keeps most of us up to the end.
Why is Mumble not there?
I mostly use Vent. When my husband and I are tired of yelling at each other across the house while fighting stuff, usually ends in us getting on vent lol.
