There's really no reason why a planet would have to match ours nearly in an identical manner, to house life.
Another Earth is near-impossible if impractical to be found.
Edit:
That planet is too far to be even considered lol >_> I read about that whole ago and wouldn't mind the venture if it was possible, but it isn't.
The thought that a mirror Earth would be impossible to find is down to our technology. Given the vastness of the Universe there is undoubtedly countless Earth-like planets out there. Technology really is an amazing thing. A hundred years ago, there was the Andromeda Nebula, barely visible in the largest and most advanced telescope there was. We now know, that is an entire galaxy, home to 5 times the stars that the Milky Way holds.
We can now also see galaxies billions of light years away.. A hundred years ago the thought that there was more than one galaxy was absurd, because we could only just make out our closest neighbor, and the resolution was so poor, it was thought of nothing more than a gaseous nebula residing within our own galaxy. Technology showed us how wrong we were. Imagine what we will be able to see in another 100 years.
