Yep, I did the update today and also turned my emote and job emote filters on and it just froze again in Upper Jeuno. The game's completely unplayable right now for xbox ppl.. so *** pissed.
I just put in a support ticket to SE on the POL web site. I really think we all need to flood them with the same issue, so they'll hopefully do something about it...

Did Dynamis Beaucedine with like 18-20 peeps and didnt dc nor froze the whole run , zone in jeuno and my xbox froze after 4 second zoning there.. so i would say there's definatly a problem in jeuno .. but seriously if everyone send one their problem to service and support like i did the more they will kick their butt to do something with it
Yep, they posted the known error a few hours ago... now let's all hope they fix it soon and it finally resolves it!!

Just finished my Re-install. everything seems to be working fine. even have a few thf around me and it's all good. Not sure if any are wearing af3 pants though.

yes this is *** freeze up now 2 times tonight trying again atm.
They sent me a letter saying to check files so i do and was fine and my disk is brand new never been touch. have to send them another letter say fix this ***. [Current Known Issues]

so reinstalling fixes the problem?
Guys I did an update last night before I started playing and played all night doing MMM in Jeuno and I had zero problems. I was also experiencing the crashing my screen would freeze and it would dc but it froze the entire system.
So with the new update I believe its fixed all thought I mainly experienced the freezing issue in Ru'Lad Garden and Whitegate. Also does anyone ever get a disc read error where it will say the game is a Dvd. I get this alot it use to play fine in my elite and now I currently and using an 360s. I hear they're offering FFXI Full Expansions on a real system for 5.95 now via Steam!
Its like playing on Xbox without the freezing all the time!  Allright i re-install and update new patch then i log on no problem i run zones no freeze seem fine for me right now ..

Coming to a planet near you! the problem is with the THF dat files. reinstalling wont solve the problem. asll your doing is reinstalling the same bad dat files. i know ive tried it. i can walk all over the world. go into any abyssa i want as long as i dont get close to the port jueno stone guys or walk near a THF then BANM lock up. why becasue everytone and ther momma is afk right there or spamming ther job emotes. or standing close to them. i sttod in my mog house for 30 min spamming the job emots as fast as it would allow to see if that would do it. then me and a friend went out side and spammed them nothign. tried zoning into the new areas via teeleporting and oping. and i could walk in and out easilly. 15 sec near a thf and im locked up.
