I'm going for the attacks 2-3 times katana

DMG 25 Delay 242
Attacks 2-3 times

and I'm wondering what would be a better main hand to accompany between

DMG 45 Delay216
WS Damage +10%

or

DMG43 Delay 201
DEX +8 Accuracy +14


I realize the WS damage katana would output more spike damage but with the low delay and boost to accuracy the DEX+ Katana would output a better DPS especially since i main a full haste + dual wield build, so my accuracy is low to begin with

Regarding your actual question: ***'s situational. Accuracy capped, WSDMG wins. Uncapped, DEX wins. Inbetween, varies. If I had to choose one I'd probably do the DEX katana.

The 2-3 times katana is for soloing as NIN/DNC good TP building as well as increase in overall DPS... plus I'm not going to lie I just like the idea of attacking fast

Figured, but your premise is flawed.

Here's the thing: you're a NIN. You shouldn't be taking much in the way of damage outside of spells and TP moves between your shadows, evasion, and high Subtle Blow. Given this and the fact that

is untrue, I'd argue that you benefit more from a different offhand katana in these situations just because it's more efficient DPS and gives you some space between TP moves to top yourself off. Also, high delay makes for meh TP gain per unit time for DW jobs. Better from a per hit perspective, but again that shouldn't be an issue for you at present.

2-3 Attack Katana is outclassed in Abyssea by Kamome off hand. Outside of it, 2-3 could be ok, but also outshined by the normal OAT Katana.

DEX is a nice mainhand katana, yes Hochomasamune is slightly better, if you don't need the Acc. At least, until the next update to magians.

What about mainhand Kamome and offhand 2-3

with Atma of razed ruins and Atma of Voracious violet?

As for soloing i think you're right and im just gunna get 2x eva katana

OA2-3 isn't particularly good, high delay hurts TP gain and it's low DPS.

Alright well i guess that saves me time it's a particularity annoying weapon to get in the first place. Any trial weapons i should focus on outside of the eva ones?

man up and do em all >.> I have 3 katanas compelted and working on another 3, they are situational. Str Dex outside abyssea wins, inside abyssea you dont need any str so DmgWs katana main off low delay or dex/acc if you using anything else than acc food.

eva katanas I learned my lesson and working on x2 of them . next up is a Tobi+1, damn might even go for Damage reductions ..>.> the joy of the NIN!
