Have anyone mentioned Mahō Shōjo Madoka Magica? It's my favorite anime of all time. At first I started watching it when JP community was discussing it 6 months ago after Earthquake, then I was attracted by it's unique collage art style and decided to give it a try.
It's "magical girl" genre anime(a genre with young girls use magical power to transform and fight evil monsters like Sailor Moon), but this anime is all about rewriting the formula of this genre while following it to an extend....it has a misleading OP that's exactly the same as all other Maho Shojo anime, but the actual anime itself is nothing like OP. The story itself is extremely well written, about the philosophy theme of karma ,destiny and wish. The story is also paced very nicely and never drag(unlike many anime out there...just goes on and on and unnecessary long).
I watched a lot of anime since I was a kid, and only found 3 anime inspiring and created something new. And this anime is on top of the list in my mind, in terms of music, visual, story and the way it tries to rewrite the formula of an existing genre, it is truly a master piece.

»Code Geass was actually pretty good, brilliant plan for the end to make his dream come true.
Personally I find it hard to understand why Code Geass is so popular, I mean I enjoyed season 1, since it introduced an interesting concept. But R2 ruined it. Way too many characters in R2 and none of them are developed very well, a lot of characters just change side
easily, and it's just not very convincing when you see characters change side so easily. It also dragged way too much. Season 1 isn't that bad, but R2 I feel all the characters are too flat and totally ruined the whole series.
I'm not trying to bash this anime, but just can't understand why no one ever complained about R2.
