I guess since I haven't played in ages that I get a few days free to play. Downloading it now I want to see the dragon destroying the cities :) I hope it's true.

It's not happening yet, as far as I know.

I'm curious, is there one single event that the whole game does now as opposed to anything else?

Because that will probably be the push that makes me quit FF for WoW.

if you mean is there an event where ppl will drop everything to do not really, right now alot of people are doing the elemental invasion achievement but thats really it

I meant like something similar to Abyssea in FF, if that helps at all.

idk what that is lol i havent played ffxi in over a year started playing wow and ffxi couldnt keep up lol course maybe playing ffxi for 5 years prior to playing wow did it but yead idk what abyssea is if its like a raid type envirotment then right now there is ICC ( Icecrown Citadel) RS (Ruby Sanctum) those are the two higher level raids then theres TOC/NAXX/Ulduar from wrath of the lich king exp then theres about 10 other raids to choose from that ppl do every week

No, WoW end game is more spread out than just doing 1 thing over and over.

Back when I started playing, I used to be kicked out of parties for being a fury warrior! Flight paths didn't automatically connect, you had to stop at each point and re-fly! Paladins were Alliance only and Shaman were Horde only! There was no dungeon finder or world trade chat! You had to use the general channels in each major city. Having a warlock was a selling point so you could summon people to the dungeon! You whippersnappers have it so easy!

Well it finished downloading finally. The doomsday cult and earthquakes are pretty neat. To bad the cult quest I'm on isn't working, the overseer won't move from his place in line.

Most likely won't happen until early December I'm guessing, mainly because I'm guessing Deathwing will come along and *** everything up just before the release, so when people log on release day, the events of "The Shattering" novel would've occurred, the Tauren leader will be dead, Orgrimmar will have become *** MEEETTTAAALLL *Headbangs* and the Alliance will have what has to be the coolest race ever.

(Inb4 Every BElf Paladin rerolling as a Worgen DK)

Edit: Oh yeah, and you'll be able to fly in Azeroth.. No-one really cares about that though, it's not a big deal..

Iv tried the trial some 4 months ago while i was still playing ffxi (or abyssea xi, w/e you wanna call it). I was a big time WoW hater while i was playing ffxi, i never rlly tried but the trial, yet i allowed myself to ***on the game every time i had the chance to do so, yeah ignorance at its best.

About a month ago i quit ffxi for good; abyssea, magian trials (grind gind grind grind and... grind), old content obsolete, crafting destroyed, no more competing for NMs that actually mean anything, etc. ***just stoped to be fun, wasnt rlly looking forward to geting on the PC to relax (grind the *** out of ffxi i mean). Nways im sure some of you still enjoy ffxi so imma stop with the crap.

To get back to the wow subject. I reinstalled wow again after quiting ffxi, this time seriously checking out all of the game's aspects. And yeah... i play it for good today. The ***that you discover past the trial's content is extremely more fun and challenging. WoW being only the 2nd mmo iv played (after 4 years of ffxi) im surprised to see the level of fan service that blizzard provides its fans. No more PS2 limitations (blizzard is actually adding DX11 graphic enhancement to WoW), encouragment to use add-ons, beautiful PvP system and beutiful graphics. Yes the initial wow graphics arent that great i agree, but you can see the huge difference in graphics between the expansion zones, some of those zones are rlly breath taking (Outland zones for example). In addition with the new expansion thats coming this december they are redesigning the old areas, my guess is theyr making em look better. The whole ambiance of the game is different, for instance theyr releasing a new expansion soon, they allready have nice and creative content out in the game that introduces the player to the whys and hows of the new content and story thats gonna unfold in the expansion. FFXI never delivered this, never. Another nice thing is the flying mounts... ***just feels like freedome after chokoboing the *** outta yourself in ffxi. Nways, youd have to try the game yourself to see and judge, but i know i love what iv seen so far of it and im only lvl70 atm. (if anyone can point me out to somewhere where i can quickly upload some screen shots to back up my beautiful graphics claim, feel free to do so)

Upgraded to Lich King today :D

Now just for more downloading/installing/boredomness.

I think I'll play some WoW today. I've just kinda been in a mucky state with my wow. Seeing as Cata is going to come out I don't see a point in raiding right now.
