All I see is people saying pc is better than ps2 graphics wise. I'd like to know differences for performance...Without a decent pc, it might not run better over ps2 and even with a decent pc, ps2 might still run better for certain things.

Same for people that use fullscreen over windower. (even if many use windower)

nobody (I hope) would ever make the claim that the ps2's graphics are superior.

My boyfriend says PS2 is the best claiming device there is since there is 0 lag, everything just turns into the screen the sec it comes out.

you can't change the settings on the ps2, sorry to tell you. Also there are doubts to if it's the ps2 version on all 3, or if they actually did recode it for the other machines instead of emulating it. Personally I'm thinking they emulated it, but I may be wrong.

the Final Fantasy XI settings in the ps2 version don't have the option to change the graphical settings, short of proportion settings, 4:3 and 16:9, try to stay on topic.

Also now I understand why you use a mac, you fear the multitasking ability of the pc.
I'm typically a PC person, however when it comes to FFXI there seems to be a difference in how the game is handled, I have my assumptions as to why and it has to do with the original design of the game. In general sense, a PC can run a game just as well as a console can (if not better) but like I said there are instances where that isn't true, and I'm claiming this is one of those instances.

its just simple fact lol there is nothing to claiming besides dumb luck as there is a 1-4 sec window after it pops when the claimshield goes down and you can claim it.. linked bots give you the greatest chance of laying down the best spaced out array of times to ensure claim! ps2 fits in this nowhere

PC's back in the PS2 era could run higher spec'd games than the PS2 can.

Now it's kinda like child's play unless there's a cap (XI) but still.

Hell PC's can run games better than the main stream consoles these days. I always buy a mutliplat for the PC, it runs better, has better visuals and tends to have a larger toolset.
