I can agree with consistent. I prefer witty/subtle/sarcastic humour.
Will Farrell's style is loud and obnoxious.

Do you dislike Stephen Colbert?
What comedians fit your fancy actually?
a newer one that I like is Zach Galafaragafgarion.

I admit I've gotten a chuckle or two out of a few of his movies, but for the most part they aren't that great, he's just a fad by the douchebag crowd nothing more. As for Ghost Rider yeah it could have been a lot better and taking it at face it does kinda suck, but it has it's moments.
a fad that has lasted longer than most comedy based actors. Will Ferrell continues to deliver where most actors fade out quickly. Take a look at Eddie Murphy, Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Chris Farley (Rest in Peace), Mike Myers, Ben Stiller, Dave Chapelle...
It's typical for a Comedian or Comedy actor to blow up quick, peak and fade out or completely change direction. These I would much more consider "fads" and imo great fads at that. I enjoyed their peaks, loved the movies and stand up they produced when they came out and will forever be some of my favorites.
But Will Ferrell continues to pump out comedies that millions of people enjoy including myself. I find most the roles he plays hilarious personally and am impressed he has been able to come out with hits since 1998 A Night at the Roxbury (his first big funny role for me) or 2003 Old School (when most consider he really blew up) through 2010 The Other Guys. Not every role was perfect personally Land of the Lost was one of the worst movies ever but he has made me laugh from his amazing cameos to his leading roles.

Valhalla Rising Poster here
It was a really odd movie...but I think that is the thing that is cool about Mads Mikkelsen, is his mysteriousness throughout a movie. Like in King Arthur (with Clive Owen and Keira Knightley).

I don't watch Colbert, and I don't like Zach Galja;grih;aewigh;aweg
I liked Demitri Martin (although I think his show sucks), CK Louis, Jeremy Hotz... Can't think of too many right now, but I don't find any particular comedian/actor to be funny.

there was not even a plot to follow.. ***give me some violence if there's not plot. I felt like the movie peaked after 4 minutes.

I'm a fan of Zach Galafaragafgarion's movies but I saw his stand up... that dude seriously is insane. He basically just lost his mind on stage for an hour
When Demitri Martin first came out I couldn't get enough of him, when his show was announced I was so excited... then I saw his show stuck with him for 1 long painful first season. what a dissapointment. I love Louis CK he's so dark from his standup to his HBO show to his new show Louie. The new show can have some slow episodes though.
Favorite comedian of all time is Richard Pryor. Other notables, Eddie Murphy, Dave Chapelle, Bill Cosby, Dennis Leary, Chris Rock, Louis CK, Demirtri Martin theres more i dunno right now

He's been my favorite comedian since I caught his first Comedy Central Standup Special about six years ago. When people bash his standup, they're usually talking about "Live at The Purple Onion," which, though it is quite recent, is far from his best stuff.
P.S. I lol'd at "Galafaragafgarion"

If you think Will Farrell is garbage I don't see how you can think Adam Sandler isn't.
I like both but the differences between them comedically isn't as drastic as you make it seem.
I honestly didn't like Will Farrell when he first started out and I've been enjoying him more and more as the years go on.
He has this level of energy that most comedians can't compare to.
Now a comedians for the douche crowd: Dane Cook and Jon Heder.

I usually find I know what to expect when going to see a movie with an established comedian in it. I'd much rather have a funny story, than a 'funny' person in it.
