I guess if you REALLY had time to kill, it might be useful to build up your Mercy Stroke charge before a big boss fight or something and then immediately switch to a different/superior weapon afterwards.

Believe it or not, I think the intention of these weapons was simply just a combination of what I said above, and also a way to at least allow non-relic-owners to actually use the weapon skills.

Pretty much ^

Same thing with the metatron torment great axe. The downfall of the weapons is you can't store more than 1 charge of the relic WS. So you literally would have to charge it before each big fight instead of taking some time and storing charges on it.

It's really a pain in the *** for it's purpose.

In terms of DoT, its garbage.

I'd say rather garbage, while Mercy Stroke is a wonderful WS, the pre-req to activating it is rather ***-blocky.

Unless its like Tredecim Scythe and "Stores" the info, in which case i could see it being useful if you have a charge stored on it before said fights.

I wouldn't say anything game-breaking, Its situational at best.

Any Kila from the STR/DEX/etc path, and Auric Dagger.

Or Rapidus Sax

Edit: Kila*^

DEX Kila and Rapidus dagger would make an awesome combo imo, with huge Acc boost as well as low Delay combo and omg 1% Haste on the weapon slot
