I've been told that Elemental Crystals are 999 of their respective shards (1 Wind Crystal would be 999 Wind Shards), but I can't quite work out how to make crystals explode into multiple shards >_>..

So.. does anyone know how to turn Crystals -> Shards?

As far as i know, crystals can be turned into 16,24 or 32 of their respective shards via alchemy synths

999 is just what they stack to supposedly, and not their exchange rate from crystal to shards.
