MS Paint Challenge Round 2: Week 9

This week's theme is Your Noob Days!

With a fresh new game out people are starting over again and even though I'm not one of them I can't help but think of my noob days on ffxi. The {fun}, the {excitment}, the {death}, the not knowing what the hell I was doing or where I was going. Perhaps like me, you thought that a Magicked Bones was somebody's pet and they set in on you to be mean >.>; or you were one of the people that thought running around in circles while fighting meant that mobs had less of a chance to hit you xD Lets see those memories! :D

Official rules:

1. Only MS Paint is allowed for submitted entries.

3. If you want to play, submit your entry in a reply.

on the subject I just wanted to add a cute story about this friend I had back then. We did everything together, always. We worked on getting our adventure fellows. Once we got them I was eager to lv mine up, while she never wanted to call her NPC. And the few times she actually called it she always acted akward and silent. When I finally asked her what the deal was with her and her NPC it turned out that she thought that everytime she called her NPC, someone from Square Enix was playing it, and she got so silent because she felt akward talking with her NPC out (since obviously whoever on SE that was controlling her NPC would see everything she typed). I had a good laugh out of that.

I must have tossed 150+ of those before I learned what a BCNM was.

when i started playing, everyone had been playing for 5-6 years and i was really self-conscious about being a noob. I always tried to hide it, but always needing a guide to lead me to whatever xp camp we were going to usually gave me away.

It was kinda discouraging looking for parties, trying to level and only seeing waves upon waves of 75s.

thought the sharks in the water could come up and walk on land and eat you so i would avoid the water etc etc

people warned me not to throw away my seals

so i didn't

but to this day i haven't used a single kindred's or beastman's seal @.@

so i have like nine million

It's mostly making the most of all the specific Paint tools, really. iirc, this entry was done all in MS paint:

damn anye thats really good work, you're using a lot of symetrical shapes to guide yourself I can tell.
it's still harder work, I think it would be nice if you got a wacom for yourself it's never a waste of money.

I never got one thinking it was going to be considering I always work traditional, but a good friend gave me the one I have. She was pissed I ended up knowing how to paint more things than her on CS5... lol

ROFL, that wasn't mine!! It's Foliage--I won't take credit for that amount of precision and work.

However, I used the same concept for this entry, which was awfully fun. :>

Oh, and for the record, I can't draw on paper for ***. Something about not having a ctrl-z button instead of an eraser....

Believe me, when I draw something on MS paint (that is to say, I do make an effort for every MS paint challenge, but end up missing the deadline EACH AND EVERY BLOODY TIME Q_Q), the only reason why it might look good is because I'm drawing random lines and ctrl-zing away all the bad ones. Line*ctrl-z*line*ctrl-z*line*ctrl-z*line--PERFECT! Moving on... line*ctrl-z*line... etc.

And I hate myself everyday for it.

And oh yeahlulz, I used to play on my macbook pro.

@Darki I usually use the tablet but when I'm too lazy to boot up my PC I just use the mouse on my BF's.

@Sev I've gots tons of them too from all the years of soloing BST. I used to do the Astral ring 20 capped BCNM a lot, it was fun. I'm not sure if it's even worth it anymore gil wise, but if you ever want to get together and burn some let me know ^^
