BLM is pretty damn good inside abyssea on NM,manawall is like a fail proof /nin... I still prefer SCH though w/ proper use of charges its really nice. 5/5 Convert is standard and as someone with RDM and BLM both 85 I can tell you I find very little use for my BLM. If you need earth m.acc to land Slow on something that isn't resistant to begin with, you're not gearing your Slow2 correctly probably.

If you can't manage your MP that badly, on a job that even has Refresh II, then you sir, are a lamesauce RDM. Good days!
I however am a career RDM, but having 5/5 Convert merits could be very useful if you don't lowman anything on RDM and just use it for Abyssea parties or LS events. Although, if you like to solo and be a badass, Earth/Wind/Ice Magic Acc. ftw! And when you think about it, if you put merits into Earth Magic Acc. then you can pimp the hell out of slow and go pure MND!
I know a bad-*** RDM, and he doesn't need Earth Magic Acc. to land his slows.... And yes, he uses MND gear, not really seeing your point.... 5/5 Convert Merits are actually better. Let's suppose all you do is solo, and solo hard ***. Especially in Abyssea time is of the essence... Pop a chainspell, pop a convert, pop meds, pop a revit, pop chainspell, pop a convert, pop meds....... In no particular order, but I think you should see where I'm going with this. Unlimited nuking spam MP is unlimited. ***dies faster. Etc.
As for a career RDM picking Tamas. lolTamas.
As far as having one job is concerned too, stop being useless, man up and level another job. You can be be a 'career' RDM and have another job too. <_<;

rdm really isnt that great for anything anymore :( anything I can solo on rdm in abyssea (besides *** corse) really goes faster on blm with meds and atmas
