Had a Commodore 64 when I was growing up.
Can't remember the exact game, but was probably Jumpman or Ghosts 'n Goblins or something.

I remember when I was like 3 my dad brought home nes and had The Legend of Zelda with its cool gold cartrage. Seeing that just brings back so many memories! He also had Mike Tyson's punch out. I remember getting knocked out and I couldnt press the buttons fast enough to get back up so I'd always yell daddy! and he'd come running in and get me up only to come back 5 seconds later after I got knocked out again! Lol Thanks for hooking me on video games pops!

Tunnels of Doom on TI99-4A+

Cartridge = yup
Tape Player to load it = yup

First RPG ever played = You bet

Had a C-64 also around the same time, but that even had a 5 1/4" Floppy Drive (Serial connection), and the famous...

Load "*.*" ,8,1

... which was used for most games.

Also on C-64, playing the early text-based RPGs and games like ZORK, in addition to Jumpman, Frogger, and one that a friend of mine got from who knows where called "The Farmer's Daughter" which was a text based adventure where you were a traveling lightning rod salesman who broke down and were trying to score with the girl, but you had to wander around getting all the requisite supplies like candles, music, handcuffs, etc. Yeah, it was text-based, and we were like 10, so it was "cool" to us.

Some game system that had plastic cards for each gaame you played that slid over a number pad with a round disk at the bottom to move around. The controller was connected to the game spiral fasion like a phone cord. i remember frogger, tennis, and some other generic games.

My first memories was when my Dad would sit on our livingroom floor and play Lufia 1 & 2. Best games ever. I still play them even today.. Really I did today during lunch! They're absolutely amazing.

Other top firsts and favorites (All SNES: It's what I grew up on)
-Zelda: Link to the past
-Harvest Moon (The original!)
-Lufia 1 & 2
-Mario World 3
-Yoshis Island
-Donkey Kong 1-3

=D I wanna go play they all now haha..

Mario Bros. Game & Watch when I was about 5, my older sister bought one and I got addicted to video games ever since. My parents weren't very rich so I got my first real console at the time the NES came with Super Mario Bros. 3. I remember it as one of the happiest moments of my life (I was 9 years old) and I now realize how my parents love me for spending so much of their money on buying me one.

Btw, did you know that prior to releasing the first Game & Watch portable devices in 1983, Nintendo had already been in business since 1889, as a trading cards company? o.O
