Its more or less a Bonus, plus theres no guarantee we'll even get the "Aftermath" effects.

Also Most relic Weaponskills suck major ***, useful only for fun or skillchain, or sometimes their After-math.

However, Relics have the highest DMG, DPS overall, and the hidden effect of doing 2.5x or 3x Damage, So i'm relatively certain most/all relic owners aren't feeling slapped.

At the same time however, i openly welcome access to Mercy Stroke =x

Catastrophe too!!!

If the Aftermath Effect is left intact, That would be sweet.

Also no idea how the Latent works either, could only work inside Abyssea or during the new Bastion battles =x

Yeah this Kindred Crests thing could easily just be flavorful text. Crests isn't capitalized in the quest dialogue so it's not a proper name. Still. Introducing a new seal type would be a really good way to delay the jump to 85 now that everyone was expecting to need merits to break the new limit...
