Was wondering if it would be too much to try and do, if you guys made the XIV thread titles a separate color from the XI thread titles.
Seeing how XI thread links are normally a blue hyperlink to the thread, maybe make XIV hyperlinks green, or something different than blue, just to alleviate confusion. I started reading a thread post, thinking it was related to XI, and it was an XIV post. XD

I enjoyed doing pankration.. quite a bit actually, however hardly anyone does it. for that matter probably no one does it now... i think that if they combined older type events like pankration/ZNM stuff with newer content, instead of total seperation, then probably more people would do it... For that matter if by winning contests and battles with your mob in pank. if you would win special items like xp rings or other types of gear, it would be alot more appealing.. but as soon as people figured out buying jettons for cameras and plates for ZNM bosses was less time consuming, pank. went to the wayside

I think if you could have actually made the mobs do the moves you wanted to when you wanted to it to Pankration would (if it had TP) probably been more of a hit.

I have a couple of decent pets. My wivre is awesome, almost always uses attack down if it's doing okay, and uses granite shield if it's losing, which makes it take 0 damage from the front lol, so funny to watch. Only problem is that he doesn't adjust to mobs that move to the side, and hits from the side in Pankration are always crit hits... so any mob that moves, he loses to fast.
I also have a whm/blm Ahriman that's capable of casting freeze lol, go work that out :D
Edit: oh fine. +1 to OP, make FFXIV threads purple or something.
All in All, I don't think color would make much of a difference if they're still meshed together cause people could still randomly click things thinking it's FFXI especially if they're "new" to the site. Splitting it like Kojo said would be more effective imo.

Sorry for the double post but I used a wivre for the longest time and had the same 'issue' lol it was totally awesome when the mobs were facing the front but then once the other mob was "smart" enough to move it was pretty much over. Slimes are pretty awesome too unless going against a BLM mob. But I meant like, having a menu with TP moves names etc depending on the pet you have. that kind of control. (like once you trained it really good)

Just because the title has FFXI on it doesn't mean the site is not going to provide content for FFXIV.
It is a good idea for the color in back of the title for a thread. I like the idea.

Along this vein, user forum filters for front page would be pretty cool too (options to display only FFXI and/or FFXIV).
Not sure if Scragg/Jae will bother considering they have www.ffxivah.com ready for when the game goes "live"
