Massively popular aggregator site reddit.com was recently chastised by its parent corporation for accepting 3rd party ads in support of California Proposition 19, the November ballot initiative to completely legalize marijuana in the state. (Which polls show currently in favor by anywhere from 10 to 20 percent.)
The conservative parent corporation, in a drizzle of PR mumbo-jumbo, said that it "does not want to benefit financially from this particular issue."
So Reddit has responded by simply running all the Yes on 19 ads for free.
Whoops.
