New Ninjutsu

Not a huge deal by any means, but I saw some people in other posts brainstorming about what the upcoming ninjutsu spell(s) could be. In the Japanese update notes, at the same place it tells English players that new ninjutsu will be added, it says:

新しい忍術が追加されます

Which is translated to:

New art of concealment and espionage is added.

Just a little FYI. Safe to assume Monomi: Ni. Sorry if this has already been mentioned elsewhere.

You could be right, Dracondria. My translation may actually be too literal and I'm reading too much into it. Just putting it out there, either way. Always fun to speculate.

五車の術-相手と会話の中で心理を突く話術である。

* 喜車の術 - 相手をおだてて隙を伺う。
* 怒車の術 - 相手を怒らせ冷静さを失わせる。
* 哀車の術 - 相手の同情を誘う。 <-- Aisha: Ichi, literally

* 恐車の術 - 迷信などを利用し相手の恐怖心につけこみ戦意を喪失させる。

Kakan no jutsu? (Spelling a bet, Sorry but I had to..)

In seriousness, I translated that above stuff into english, starting from the top line.. (Using google, so likely crappy translates)

五車の術-相手と会話の中で心理を突く話術である。 is 'Five art car - get to the psychology of narrative in conversation with someone.'
* 喜車の術 - 相手をおだてて隙を伺う。 is 'Good art car - ask your chance to praise the other.'
* 怒車の術 - 相手を怒らせ冷静さを失わせる。 is 'Car surgery anger - anger make you lose your cool opponent.'
* 哀車の術 - 相手の同情を誘う。 <-- Aisha: Ichi, literally Adding onto what you said 'Art of 哀車 - elicit sympathy for others.'
* 楽車の術 - 相手を羨ましがらせて戦意を喪失させる。あわよくば相手を味方に引き込める。 is 'Car art music - to the envy of their fighting spirit against them. Retreat to the other side the opportunity presents itself.'
* 恐車の術 - 迷信などを利用し相手の恐怖心につけこみ戦意を喪失させる。 is 'Car fear surgery - to lose the fight against Tsukekomi to use fear and superstition.'


Someone else can make wits end of the translates, if they are even something involving ffxi XD. I just liked them >.>

Version Update Released: 2 New Ninjitsu:

Myoshu: Ichi [妙手の術：壱]
Uses: Kabenro [花弁蝋]

and

Yurin: Ichi [幽林の術：壱]
Uses: Jinko [沈香]

The first one is something like "Subtle Hand", but the ninja tool means something like "Flower Petal Wax" (I don't know how to make sense of that D:)

The kanji for the second spell, means dense forest. As for the tool, it seems to mean "Sinking Incense" (I got no idea how that makes sense either, but there you go -.-;)

If anyone else could help in providing their translations, speculations as to what they could be, please do ^_^

We all know its going to end up being something like "Lowers Enemy Crit hit DMG" & have nothing to do with the translation :/

Or maybe you'll get something that makes total sense... like a buff to give nin temporary fencer & shield bonus! :D

Probably one that lowers emnity or some crap like that lol.

Yurin: Ichi [幽林の術：壱]
blind yourself to make you think it is dusk or night, and so you can run 25% faster with your AF and stuff

Wild guess but based on your translations they could be some form of Subtle Blow and Gravity spell (last one being a long shot on the word sinking, but that's the tool name so, dunno!)

Iono... no one even got Aisha:Ichi right the last update till the very end.

That would make sense.

Easy to translate:

Deep forest is -> piece of ***: ichi
effect: try to blind the target by throwing pieces of ***on their eyes. Throwing skill and ranged accuracy are needed to make this spell work.

Subtle hand is -> Jizz your pants: ichi
effect: lowers accuracy of the enemy cause he really doesn't wanna see that. Spell accuracy based on hand-to-hand skill and spell casting based on dual-wield. Can only use one weapon while casting (ofc).


So yeah, probably some new spells made of win.

I remember last time people tried to translate the last ninjitsu, the attack down one as being a reraise spell and failed.

Basically, we have no idea till the update :/

We got attack down last time so perhaps def down and or magic def down?

Magic accuracy down and spell interruption rate up seems more realistic to me.
We're talking about spell from the aisha line. They keyword here is "useless".

I like Aisha but for it's duration. Groundbreaking? No. But I still use it for mnk mobs or nm solos.

I'd use a Ni version.
Giving us Ichis is like telling us a little more to go die in a fire.

Perhaps some of the job specific magian armor additions will enhance potency or duration of ninjutsu. (Ideally enfeebles or Utsusemi.)

EG: "Enhances Utsusemi" on any piece of armor would be welcome in my inventory. (an additional shadow or removing the enmity decay from shadows absorbing damage).

Before you say it's broken, think back. I can remember when /nin still granted 4 shadows for ni. Furthermore, I can remember when there was virtually no enmity loss from a shadow absorbing damage. Those were the days of the boo-hoo plds.

I'm quiet happy with my Aisha: Ichi I hope for a stronger version of it in the future, I hope the new Ichis are Evasion down and Defense down, yes lulz at the fact that they are pretty much useless but I solo a lot, and in times that I cannot hit the mob that well, and really wish I had someone to grav the mob to lower its evasion, or have dia on the mob so its def is reduced sightly so my hits are stronger, I feel they would be great tools for an arsenal.

Also... if it were to stack with Gugnir/Angon, Dia III then that would be even killer for zerg situations.

According to the .dats one of them "looked like a buff" and the other a debuff.

So its likely one may indeed be Subtle Blow enhancement, and the other... dunno

Maybe it will be the reraise/aquaveil tools we was hoping for aisha ichi xD
