I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing but I like it so far. My name is Lord Aku, or display name Taco.8473 if anyone wants to wander around with me.
In the Timberwhatever there's an ettin event that restarts right after the second part if you talk to the npc when she says "You there, you look <can't remember>" so you can keep doing that >.> No idea if it's a bug or if it was intended, good exp though. At 50-56 it's about 10k exp (5+5) so it's a nice way to level.

You can send items across servers, my friend on another server crafts me stuff and sends it over lol
400 Cooking, Huzzah.
Volk. Send me money making recipes >.> Have any good crafting tips? I've been working on armorworking for the past couple of days and was thinking of taking up cooking as well.

For armor, I duno. you just have to grind out those ores. Sweet baby jesus, I'm doing that tonight. As for armor crafting, yeah its fairly expensive lol. I've hit lvl 51 so far, and have spent nearly 100 silver in doing so. I gather my own ores too, but sometimes I just want to burn through some levels and buy like 99 of each ore and burn it through.

But they help tremendously. Right now I just supply a guy with magic find food and he pays me a good amount of silver each delivery. But in order to make a profit from this. You have to farm EVERYTHING and not die during the process. Keep your traveling expenditures low. And use asura gates frequently. Such as if you're in the ruins of orr, go to heart of the mist, go to LA, then take an asura gate to where the next major city and walk from there or take waypoint if its cheap. edit: also there's an issue right now where the mats cost more to make than the actual food product is worth the fastest/easiest way to level up any crafting is by using the Discovery function, the way I do it (for armorsmithing) is get enough items to make 6 Insignias of the same type, then make the armor Casing/Lining for each piece and discover each bit of armor that way, it also gives u a hell of alot of xp and around 2-5 crafting levels per go depending how high u are. I have 400 Armorsmithing now :D
Thank you Khane, I will have to try to discover more tonight. I guess my mind is still stuck in FFXI with the grind of doing the same thing over and over again lol.
I've been doing the same thing with tailoring; create one of every insignia, and then craft the base components for whichever armor piece grants the most experience for my level in order to discover all types for that slot. From what I've noticed, you seem to gain around a level and a half to two levels of craft for each discovery, plus whatever you happen to gain from crafting components.
Jewelcrafting has been a bit more difficult, due to being limited to copper and 5 different gemstones up to at least 47. just got my lv.80 exotic daggers crafted
![]() my crappy low res pic of them D: (had a bad angle >_> ) need to find a black dye ;x this dark grey isnt cutting it for the trim on my Espada get up ;/
Why is Black Dye so expensive? I mean really? like 3 *** gold. I got an unidentified grey dye (yellow) and tried it and got a ***dye .-. it was like 60 silver.
I sold tons of mats tho. mainly cuz I don't craft and they're just sitting in my bank (and I needed money cuz me, being a smart one, did like 2gold worth of gem conversions just to buy *** keys to open the damn boxes. Got more XP boosts tho. which I plan on using on a future character lol since it's account bound not soulbound Those boxes annoy the hell out of me so saving up for a black dye has been a problem when I keep spending money on keys >.>
Especially since sometimes the boxes give you keys.
First 3 of my 8 did, then none. It annoyed me. .-. I'm at like 2ish gold, just under. I have like 12 on me and no keys and I'm broke so they're annoying the hell out of me by taking up space >_> Stupid monster transformation potions and gear transformation stones are all I get as well
those stones stack, i havel ike 50+ of them
but those monster potions... some are cool (I love the skrit one, just walk up to people, and in /say go "*sniff sniff* you smell." I have like 5 different types of monster potions >_>
I just use them once, to see what they look like then toss them. Should keep the skrit ones tho.
I toss transformation pots too, dont even read what they transform you too. good thing those boxes stack lol.
I wish you could sell those transformation pots to npcs, even for like 1 bronze each. I don't like not being able to sell some stuff to npcs .-. I feel like it's such a waste to toss them. Especially Karma gear. You can't sell them nor can you salvage them.
Speaking of salvage, I got 2 25x Black Legion Salvage Kits that "100% chance of getting the upgrade back and 20 or 30% of getting rare mats" I used like 5 or 6 already. Ragnarok.Ravant said: » Is it just me, or does it seem like there are a lot less events in the 40+ areas? When just started leveling it seemed like I was running around chaining events all day. Now it's like pulling teeth up in those damn snow mountains trying to find events. And when I do, it glitches... Like yesterday an event to turn in documents from a cave, the NPC just vanished and the event was frozen for like 2 hrs ( before I left) and also stopped another event from happening where you have to escort some other NPC in the cave. Just wanted to quote myself and correct what I said. Something must have been off with Stormbluff Isle the day I wrote this cause yesterday and this morning there has been about as many as 6 and at least 1 event up and running non stop (Dreadhaunt Cliffs). SOooooooooooooooo much better than that other night. Edit : Spelled area name wrong Cerberus.Kalyna said: » I wish you could sell those transformation pots to npcs, even for like 1 bronze each. I get those quite often, very nice when replacing old gear with new. Can just salvage it and get my runes back. |
