Connection Issues..

Basically.. Trying to log in to FFXI.. I get through to logging in fine, as soon as I log in, I'll start d/cing.. It isn't just one character/account because I've tried my other account to in Whitegate, and nothing. Only started happening today, anyone got any ideas, because I'm stumped.

Yeah I'm with TalkTalk, and I'm in Shrewsbury.

if nobody else comes forwards with the same issue from another ISP then im gonna asume that its a talktalk issue and not a client side issue.

Eh, easier said than done... Then again it has been awhile since I last changed, has it been made any easier?

ive had a few times where talktalk has sworn up and down that they had no issues. The first was that error i linked above. The second was when my internet was out for 2 weeks. 2 different computers and 2 different modems and apparantly it was my side with the issue and they wanted to send an engineer out and charge me 100£ if there was nothing wrong with the line. I didnt want the engineer so just waited a few more days.

got a call saying they fixed the issue. hurr durrr talktalk.

good thing about talktalk is they refuse to disconnect users who download materials :P

Its very possible it could be a client issue. Are you able to log into a mule from that same account that may be in another zone?

I zoned into Xarcabard once on my main, and for some reason I would DC as soon as I logged in. I logged onto a mule just fine though, so I GMed through there. As helpful as they are (sarcasm) I was basically told to wait roughly 30min and see if I could log back in. Sure enough, about 30-40min later I tried again on my main and logged in w/o any trouble.

My main is in Sandy, my other account is in Whitegate, exactly the same issue.

we get cheaper calls and stuff with talktalk. id have to shop about and see if there was a better deal if I wanted to change. Usually cant be bothered with the hasstle

Eh, its not just because of FFXI I'd consider a change.. hell, couple years ago, I couldn't connect to the lobby server for a good 4 months, and I sucked it up and zoned into RL for abit.

Well I'm already around in that horrible space that the Americans aren't on, there isn't enough Brits and generally everyone else thinks I'm American because I speak English, and in turn hates me, so I can't win party-wise unless I wait until the Americans start logging on.

Edit: I just found out the server is still tracking my pos, so I'm able to very very slowly get around the game, I just can't talk to anyone, or fight anything. XD
