Vorpal Sword - Murgleis

Hi all.

I am new sorta on Mythic Weapons and such. I am on Floor 20 of Nyzul. I have Vorpal Sword, Goliard Trews/Clogs/Saio.

I am wondering, can I still get Death Blossom and upgrade Vorpal Sword to Murgleis before I reach Floor 100 in Nyzul?

Also, I heard that you need more than just Weapon Skills to unlock Mythic Weapons. How do you actually unlock them to their full potential?

This is my first Mythic Weapon ever. So, also, advice is appreciated.^^

No, you must reach F100 Nyzul Isle then trade your Vorpal Sword to the Ebon Panels at Sea then it will turn into a Murgleis.

To the OP: You shouldn't be upgrading a Mythic if you don't fully understand your path to achieve it. I recommend stopping, and reading over http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/An_Imperial_Heist and its following quests backwards and forwards so you do.

As to getting it before 100, no.

Exc will always get ***for his Ebody and Jtorque even after he gets them lol. He will never live that ***down. Good thing 14 comes out september, fresh start! XD

No that's not all you need to do to unlock a mythic lol geez if it were that easy everyone would have a mythic weapon. You need to completely finish ToAU, win all 50 Assault missions, and then comes the hard part over the next handful of quests.

Even with Exc's gimpy gear I'd be able to outparse gimp Brown Belt Monks if I were to play his char, somehow he cannot.

If your serious about getting a Mythic you need to read up on every step, so much to do.
Quick example:
* In Einherjar, proceed to Odin's Chamber and defeat Odin. (Elite Einherjar)
* In Salvage, defeat the boss of each area:
o Long-Bowed Chariot in Bhaflau Remnants. (Comet Charioteer)
o Armored Chariot in Arrapago Remnants. (Sun Charioteer)
o Battleclad Chariot in Zhayolm Remnants. (Star Charioteer )
o Long-Armed Chariot in Silver Sea Remnants. (Moon Charioteer)
* In various Aht Urhgan Areas, defeat the three beastmen leaders:
o Gurfurlur the Menacing in Halvung. (Troll Subjugator)
o Gulool Ja Ja in Mamook. (Shining Scale Rifler)
o Medusa in Arrapago Reef. (Gorgonstone Sunderer)
* To qualify as having beaten these mobs, you need to acquire the title.

The fun parts:

Acquire 30,000 Alexandrite.

Acquire Balrahn's Eyepatch. Balrahn's Eyepatch is purchased from Kilusha in Nashmau with 100,000 Therion Ichor from Einherjar

Complete all Assaults

Collect the following: Tinnin's Fang, Sarameya's Hide, and Tyger's Tail all from ZNM (Tier IV).

If you thought it was going to be easy your quite mistaken im afraid, long *** serious of girinding and farming (zeni and Ichor especially...)

To be honest, I thought it was going to be easy. However, I knew there was a lot to do. But mostly little things to upgrade. lol

IMO its probably easier to do a Relic sword which is way better any way and you can use it for PLD too if you have one.
