Straight up saying 30 fps is the limit you can see is a lie. And Zilla, I didn't spend too much on a high end PC unlike HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE people I build rather than buy. Funny thing is according to this program my computer wont work, well it doesnt say that, but it doesnt show any graphic only sound. Still my computer is working just fine in alpha.
Maybe they'll change stuff out for the beta/retail version? Shiva.Flionheart said: The more you know Straight up saying 30 fps is the limit you can see is a lie. Problem: Crashes after a 2 sec black screen, saying FFXIV benchmark has stopped working, APPCRASH, in safe mode just a black screen for 10 secs before crash. Windows 7 DirectX11 HIS Ati Radeon X1650 512 Meg 2.0 Gig Ram FFXI runs like a champ on my PC so I can't see why this is not. I have run as admin, and uninstalled and reinstalled the new ATI cat software, and installed the new directx stuff from microsoft, I wanted to uninstall but seems thats a hard thing to do, now I get directx errors when trying to install the new software again, agghgghghh. The only thing left I can think of doing is fully uninstalling directx and trying again if I can find a proper way of doing so , but I'm also open to any help on a idea on how to get the benchmark to run. double post wOOt Unicorn.Ducea said: also SE hates ATI for some reason... double post wOOt Well I think NVidia tries to be big on advertising there the best video card for gamers and back door deals are made for a better compatibility with their cards {"Like xbox paying SE to make a quick version of FFXI for the 360 without fully working out bugs and I hear xbox players complain about crashing all the time."} ,but I always been and will be a ATI person, in the past 3 years FFXI has only crashed once for me and I don't think it was a video card issue. In the past I used a few nvidia cards without the proper driver, and I installed a universal one that somehow made FFXI look like a grainy old floppy disk pc game, with blurred colors, it played great yet it looked like a 5 year old color drawing, I wish a saved SS of it, it was to funny. Either way I think I'm giving up on the benchmark for now, I'm sure when the game comes out it should actually play, if not I'll just buy a new video card. I think the score was around 1000 on high res. It should be playable at 720p.
Usually ATI release hotfixes to their drivers for games that perform poorly. battlefield bad company 2 would be the most recent example of this.

Buy yourself a 120hz lcd monitor and tell me you wont see a difference compared to the standard 30/60 ones. |
