Absolute Virtue Probably. Pandemonium Warden, Doubtful Since he's already quite killable, and only has one worthwhile drop (That only offers an exceptional boost to One of the jobs, and only a good boost/nothing to the others).

Funny that there was no mention of their plans for merits.
Would be nice if they did away with you losing them if you demerited a spell or ability giving you the option to put elsewhere. You could then choose what you need per situation rather than going back to gain them again.

Problem with that is you'd basically have everything meritted, choosing what you want in a given situation. Would be too easy.

They could change that. In the BCNM for SCH AF you fight an NPC that can Manifestation nukes.

That's kinda the only thing keeping SCH from being better than BLM tho. I doubt they'll let them do any aoe damage more than drain-ga.

I'd say, at best, they're getting Comet this patch, but I doubt that still.

Stone V will probably be as good as it gets for BLM this patch. (Terra's Staff price Explosion Inc)

All we know about their plans for merits right now is that they're already tossing around ideas for the "new merit-like system" when people get to level 99 and want to be stronger. That doesn't necessarily mean group 3 merits, new group 1/2, new limits for any categories, or anything at all to do with the current merit system. Maybe the "new merits" will be a magian-type system where you have to kill 200 high VIT EM+ mobs in order to raise your STR? We don't know yet.

Having those two systems side by side is just going to bother me.

It's not an easy solution. Storing them is the absolute best answer. Getting to 99 and then "Going back to get stronger" is just a slap in the face. Second best would just to be unlimit tier II merits completely.

I suppose that lv 74 that just dinged 75 could be a "perma sync" at the bird camp for a week or however long it takes to fully merit a job and then progress to level 76 and beyond.

The "New" Merit-like system is a segment of Trial of the Magians.

Fanfest stated a few branches of Magian currently in development.

Weapons(Where we are now)
Armor(Soon?)
Livelihood(Crafting)
Adventurer(Physical status)
Ultima(Highest Tier Weaponry, Relic2)

And since someone will call *** without linkpoo, here you go.

So this is the replacement for our current merit system? Actually I now no one really knows lol. Just wondering how they are going to fix having two systems with the same purpose.

.....buuuuuu.
By the way, Ultima is also already at least partially in place. Enhancing ze relics/mythics.

Also have noticed that nobody has complained about the job specific emotes being quested, although it sounds like the emotes will be comparable to /ja with enhancements coming from them (THF smoke bomb giving hide/enmity down? WAR bring-it being a mini-voke/terror?)

The final relic paths don't just enhance the relics, the turn them into something completely different. But it's likely you'll need the final Magian trials that enhance the relics themselves done, to begin the Lv99 final Weapon branch.

Did they make an error here? Don't they mean triple casting time and MP cost?

58 second recast for Refresh-ga would just pffft.

Idk if anybody mentioned this, but there were talks of rdm/sch and how to combat running out of stratagems....well I submit this idea and I think it would work.... accession your buffs WITH COMPOSURE..just run into your group when you want to refresh-ga and haste-ga...the boost in duration from composure should more than be adequate to prevent you from running out of stratagem uses over time
