As both a DRK and a BLU, I continued to use this piece even after both AF pieces, which I deemed macro pieces/special situation pieces. Very little is better than this for either for a long time. Your money will be well spent.
For jobs like Samurai, thief, and other jobs that don't use MP, it's just more cost efficient to go with a Walkure mask, even though you get 1 less attack, unless you really have the money to spend.
