If you have high smithing (75+) or know someone who does and are tired of mining for Dark Steel Ore, these make a great break from the depths of Gusgen.
For best results; head down to Quicksand Caves and camp the Shamans Cloak NM, inbetween PH pops obliterate all WAR/PLD type mobs in the area. TH is nice, but not totally needed for this drop.
My smithing is at 77, with an apron, gloves and synth support on lightnings day I'm at about 50% success rate and half of that being darksteel. I was hoping for better results.
