I'm just hoping the new rings come from the new HNMs that are triggered pops involving that NPC in Ru'Lude. Would be nice to get bitching shitz without having to fight 60 asshats over claim. Though not so awesome waiting in line for 4 hours to do so.

If they were from campaign very very few people would be able to get it and I don't think SE wants you to spend all day every day in campaign for an extremely remote chance at getting a single piece of gear and leaving the other stuff behind.
SE said there would be a reward to try to challenge shadowlord (s)..so ya its a BCNM style thing
Allied Ring was created to counter the fact we gonna need 100k+ exp to reach a certain level later on the game.
I hope the +6 stat rings are at least trigger pops so that most people can get one. Also hope Nhead prices will fall with the new nocturnus helm >_>

Hahaha so true!!! I was just discussing this the other day!
At least the lot is all we lose out on. If it were like besieged where I could also lose the exp bonus, I'd be stuck buying reraise items every time I died, and... well, I don't want to do that.
