so...halo reach beta finally comes out tomorrow! ....if anyone wants to team up and kick some *** let me know!

Unlike FF14 I can do the Beta on this game and I did the beta on C&C 4. FF11 and 14 is useless to get on even when I been playing since it came out. Way to go SE on screwing some1 that loves ff games.

The only people who 'like it' and talk it up are the fanboys, anyone else looks at it and sees it's just another mediocre game... Nothing in the series really changes either.. Just new maps, maybe some new weapons, everything else stays the same..

Halo is fun.

Don't know why everyone's hating so much, if you don't like it, then you don't. I'm pretty excited about the beta, but I can't play for a while cause I have school and work all week :/ The story that's told throughout the novels and games interchangeably is probably what intrigues me most, though.

The single shot BR looks awesome. The other weapons don't look that great. I like the assassination animation but the rolling? C'mon. I don't like the GoW Spartan design.

Why do people hate Halo anyways? Cuz its fictional?... Anyways i look forward to playing Halo Reach Beta. Plus the movie would be good when it comes out... I think they are getting there from what i see.

I like halo, and I like it over cod, and the reason is this.

I have friends over, what options do we have? Okay, we can play cod against each other but that gets old really quickly, but with Halo we can all play online on the same console.

Game play wise Halo is nothing fantastic, but really...neither is cod, every FPS is the same thing neatly wrapped in a different story line, or universe.

We all have our preferences, and some prefer Halo, the rest prefer cod, my preference? What ever I actually feel like playing at the time.

I don't like CoD either, tbh I don't really like any FPS' recently released. I play TF2 and Battlefield Bad company 2 atm.

Overrated, overhyped, has outdated controls, terrible graphics, repetitive, linear.

It doesn't help that the entire Halo player base is worse then every other FPS game combined ... x4.

Halo's only accomplishment is how it has shown how Proper PR can make even a mediocre product a cultural sensation.

Halo really only has one unique thing going for it, bringing C- FPS mechanics to consoles, Before that, Any and All FPS on a console, when held up to the greats such as Half-Life, System Shock 2, and many others could do nothing but quiver like a vagina nervously anticipating a thorough *** from a superior. It's the very icon to look at when you want to cite an example for how to degraded an entire generation's expectations. To be fair, Halo did hold the original Xbox aloft until Bioware came back with a vengeance. (KotoR, Jade Empire) So I can at least thank it for that.

Do I personally hope Halo: Reach is awesome?: Absolutely.

Do I personally think Halo: Reach is going to be anything other than More Halo with Mechanics from Call of Duty:MW2 blatantly ripped off:? No.

If you think Halo is a Good, great, or fantastic game, you really need to broaden your horizons to true great games. Nothing about the Halo Series is a stand-out in terms of evolving gaming. And I mean nothing, what it does best, had been done a decade before it's release.

Of course, all my criticism strikes only at the Halo Games released thus far, Reach could be entirely different (Though evidence suggests it is not in any way).

Halo is also the origin of my biggest complaint with modern gaming: Sacrificing single-player experience for Multiplayer, but that's a personal issue.

Basically Xbox live spawns these spastics.

They are different.. Look at Battlefield series (just as one example).. It has changed and evolved massively over the years, also it's not just the Battlefield fanboys who like it or talk it up.. The very core mechanics of the game is in constant evolution, Halo's ARE NOT.. They stay the same... Just a new skin plastered on the same old mechanics.

Then there's Medal of Honor, Killzone, Call of Duty (although this one doesn't change that much or that often) to name just a few.

Don't get me started on CoD.

Battlefield is incredible though, Bar heroes, I haven't played a bad Battlefield game.

I have been bested on the field of debate. Also, I haven't seen any 12YR old XBL Memes, so even if it wasn't.

Modern Warfare 1 was good, great even. I didn't like it, but it actually brought something to the table. Modern Warfare2 is a perfect example of why Activision and Bungie will make a fantastic team. Release the same product 150 times with a new map 4 20 bucks, woooo.
