Why do people hate on the mini-stories so much? They were new content with a useful (at the time) piece of gear with new art assets that could even be customized. Some of those pieces are STILL useful, iirc.
Like, Square has done us dirty many a time, but ACP/Mog/ASA wasn't one of them.

The writing for ACP was pretty *** bad, which was especially disappointing since it had the potential to be the most interesting of the three.

my gripe with the addons was the price per time to completion. you could finish acp in about 5 hours, back then without all the transportation luxuries of today.
Any news is good news. Bring on more content in any shape/form.

Her name escapes me, but they mentioned this in the Fre'Pi a few months ago.
So... should at least be on the up and up in terms of story quality if they're touting someone's name.

I don't think it was good enough content to pay for. It was just a storyline that brought a single piece of gear that may or may not have been an upgrade. It didn't bring any new events or new areas to explore. Then abyssea came out and they looked even worse as paid content.

They touted Masato Kato when promoting ACP/AMK/ASA, though I will say that I mostly liked the latter two, even if they were kinda ehhhh as paid content.

I wonder if it has anything to do with that weird DRK(?) who showed up during the Siren quest. I had to ask an LS member to confirm it wasn't another weird future version of me since it was my character model.

I would have fairly low expectations for the new story content, in the past they hired writers etc with the fee required for the expansion. This is being made with the sub fee developers, so they aren't "professional" writers and animators etc.
Not saying it will be bad but I don't think we should expect too much.

can't get excited over these announcements aynmore. maybe in 2-3 years when they finished drip feeding the full expansion but not now. as long as there are somewhat decent rewards at the end the community will go all "shut up and take my money" anyway, SE knows that.
