It's about a 1/1000 drop rate with capped rubicund for the weapons from every applicable VW. The one that is best is the one that you can kill the fastest.

I've done ~2000 Bismarck kills. Zero pulse on my main, 2 on my other character. Do T3 instead.

Or just farm up 25m and buy 5 cells since it will be exponentially faster.

I think Bismark and Morta have higher drop rate on pulse according FFXIDB.

Plus, their other sellable (belladonna sap and sealord skin) still have good value. If you play in a server like asura, selling them would be no problem. I used to farm with mules 36 fights per turn. All of them with displacers. Using SMN flaming both dropping as soon as it pops. The key point in farming pulse on VW is killing as fast as you can.

I think Bismark has an average higher drop rate compared to the 3 Tu'Lia VWNM but, probably, still lower than the Zi'tah T3 droprate?

To give an idea on Qilin I went 1/4000ish to see my first Coruscanti.
LS mate went 3/1000ish.

On Asura most drops are 35mil+ and the pulses are 10mil each. wish we had those prices you quoted.

Just comparing drop rates isnt good enough. A good metric is estimated time to get a pulse.

For example, FFXIDB says Aytanri drops from Morta at a 0,17% rate, meaning you need around 600 kills to get a pulse weapon. Considering campaign where you dont need to cap any lights, a reasonable time between kills+chest clearing is 1 min. Then you could get a pulse after 10h farming.

Zitah can have higher drop, but the real rate is uuncertain. Depending how your fighting it (with a proper party killing fast or solo) you need to consider how long your fight takes and most important if youre doing efficiently with a party, how you guys will work the looting? Are you sure youre getting a pulse weapon from zitah even with higher drop rate but with longer fights and competiting with other players?

Zitah t3 around 1%, bismark/morta around 0.2%, sky around 0.1%. Pretty easy choice if you're able to solo zitah T3 (COR can do it in 90 seconds, I'm sure plenty of other jobs can in a reasonable timeframe as well).

If you're too undergeared to do zitah t3, farm the gil and buy pulse cells/trove drop/zitah t3 drop. If you want to do vw for gil, bismark is a good bet. But, don't go there with the intent of farming a pulse weapon or you're likely going to be disappointed.

This may generally be true, but since everyone mostly just bots rifts, it's irrelevant. Time doesn't matter if you're using a script to clear fights. No accusing the OP of this, but it has to be said/. What ultimately matters is, which boss is going to give the person the most gil AND highest chance of getting a pulse weapon while botting. Nobody in their right mind goes to VWNM to get a pulse, it's quite literally a waste of time.

If you can't do T3's, Nyzul Isle Uncharted campaign is active right now. Random appraisals are random, but you can get pulse, and it's probably a higher % chance than voidwatch.
