Determining Assault Rank Of Captain For Achievement Rank

Why doesn't this work like the verification of Relic weapons? With Relics, they have to be scanned while equiped to show up in the achievement rank. Captain could be verified by the scanning of the title "Captain". Which I tried to use already to get my profile to update. It didn't work. Matter of fact I still have to title of captain on my profile.
