Hi!

So, I've been getting a bunch of bug reports via PM, the site update threads, github issues, guildwork messages, and I think someone passed me a note in class once. That's great (seriously!), but it's hard to keep track of and I don't want to let things slip through the cracks. Likewise, it'd be nice if people knew what I was up to, so I can bust out (Please look forward to it.) now and then, and people know what to expect in the weekly Tuesday patches.

So here's my list of things I'm actively working on, have been asked about, or at least know I need to fix. If you see something's missing, let me know!

Site-wide:
  • Code tags add an extra line

  • 'Drunk' BBCode

  • Trivia system

  • Clean up the moderation tools (catch all, there's a ton here to do)

  • Subscription system for sub-forums

  • Filter/search posts by rating?

  • Allow 'unmaining' of screenshots

  • Node editor gets wonky if open too long

  • Apparently you can still [+] things in a thread you're topicbanned from, decide if that's a bug or not

FFXIAH.com:
  • Multiple instances where GP items are wrong

  • Achievement system still needs tweaking

  • Ergon weapons added to display/achievements

  • Item level implementation

  • Power Search needs a rework

  • LSCOM parser doesn't always discern inactive correctly

  • Adoulin/RoV missions in profiles/achievements

  • Recipes don't sort in a logical way

  • Front page prices are not pulled from the correct source

  • Augments on item sets

  • FFXI Calc functionality

  • New gear throws 500s on tooltip requests

FFXIVPro.com:
  • Finish new Lodestone parser so we aren't subject a slow Libra Eorzea release schedule Write a real dat miner in C++

  • Fix character parser

  • Item sets

  • BiS solver

  • Persistent hunt information

  • Recipe revamp

  • Vendor information

  • Power search straight up doesn't work

  • Character unlinking can cause identity sync issues

  • Achievements + Ranking

  • Minions

  • Mounts

Organizer: (not strictly site-related, but it comes up a lot since I maintain it too)
  • Finish testing and incorporating Verda's consolidate functionality

  • Find the weird //org freeze+//gs org bug that gives wrong output

Looking good, I'll try to brainstorm later and see if I can think of anything.

Please do something about the node editor. I reported this before you were here too but was never fixed.

After a while that the page has been left open the thing freezes and says something about a script not working. This makes editing guides extremely bothersome.

Sounds like a javascript error. Do you have the exact message?

I've added this to the list, and I'll try to look at this before next week's patch.

The twitch and League of Legends icons do not display under users avatars. If you click around, you can see the data, just no icon.

I have this fixed locally. It'll go in next week's patch.

Eh it's in italian. Paraphrasing it just says very generically that a script has stopped working and asks "Continue the script" or "Interrupt", whichever you chose it doesn't change much, it keeps freezing nonetheless.

Yeah, the service that generates the tooltips is throwing back a 500 for them. I haven't been able to reproduce it locally yet, but keeping at it.

Zero chance of this happening. Even if we had to make a new one because that one finally collapsed on itself, I'd remake it from NotRooks just so it wouldn't look like an admin thread.

On Firefox, when I try to delete some of my old browser history I get that message (my profile has pretty big databases in it).

I believe javascript has some sort of "anti hang up" (like a watchdog timer) feature where it tries to detect useless looping and when a script is running a tight loop the javascript interpreter takes it as a freeze or crash and puts a message which reads "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, open the script on the debugger, or let it continue.".

I believe that is what you see on your screen, Seha?

The lockstyle thread reminded me of another thing: when clicking on a picture to make it bigger sometimes the scrollbar appears, sometimes it doesn't. Why the latter? And is it possible to make it so it always does when it exceeds the page?

Why do we need to demain SSs when they have to be approved anyway?

Because not everyone wants them in the global list, they just want to have them on their player page.
