I haven't submitted a screenshot but do -all- screenshots need to be approved or only the ones on the front page?

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE BUTTHURT PPL!?!? Are you willing to suffer all the QQ's that result from that?!?

All need to be approved.

Front page = all the screenshot basically :< Only the latest ones are displayed that's it.

That means 23k screenshots have been approved/denied in a little over 2 years. Averages to about 30 a day but I assume that's growing. I'd say it's manageable.

All that's being suggested is a failsafe.

But that's survival of the non-fittest--I doubt they'd die off from the amount of offensive photos, but we'd definitely go into extinction from the amount of QQ's to be heard as a result ; ;

just make a naughty forum and be done with it!
i saw that pic that seemed to spawn this debate, and while i agree it has no place on THIS site, i don't really care. i saw it once and never will again.
i still want a picture history to see all the pics i miss every day. work on that first, and then work on the bestiality pics. thx!

I now have the ability to approve/reject screenshots submitted.

Can you explain the approve/reject process?

From talking to people, when you post a screenshot, if you click the latest screenshots on the front page then click on the screenshot to go to the next latest screenshot until you get to your screenshot immediately after posting it even though it hasn't gone through the approval/rejection process.
I can't remember the post but I thought the admins approve what gets placed on the front page of FFXIAH but still have the option of removing it from the site?

Whatever screenshot you submit, it can be for an item, bcnm, or player screenshot, it goes to pending for approval. I'll look and see what is ok and approve or what doesn't need to be by rejecting. Depending how many screenshots are submitted, whatever I approve, for either category, it will go on main page.

It won't go on main page unless I approve it.

And yes even after approval I can go and delete screenshots.

It was probably me telling you that, I actually went to post it, but my post vanished and I couldn't be assed re-typing it.

Basically, if I post a pic, I can literally get to it immediately by clicking through from the front page as Karu said, which means that unless Scragg is sitting there glued to his computer approving every image the moment it's submitted, then they're not getting approved before being viewable. However I have noticed that pics occasionally disappear, so I figure they go through the approval process before they hit the front page. Maybe this is a glitch and I'm not supposed to be able to see them instantly?

Also, not quite the right thread for it, but how about forward and back buttons on the images? Clicking the image is the forward button, but a lot of people don't know that and there is no back button. If there was, I'd bookmark the pic of that corsair taru with the Rune Sword and just go backwards through the pics when I wanted a look.

Fun fact: the taru isn't the first picture.

That still sounds like people can cycle through to it before it reaches the main page.

Not that it matters because once you guys see it you'll remove it. I'm just curious tis all.

The player has the ability to delete the image themself after approval and while pending in the menu also.

Sometimes images disappear because it is the person who submitted them goes and deletes the image. But all images go through pending status until approved.

Atm there are 4 player pending screenshots and 1 item screenshot. You can't see them on the front page. I'll go approve them and 5 new screenshots will be on the main page.

So on the main page the first screenshot is of the mamools right now.

Edit: 9:43pm est approved 5 screenshots. Now they are on front page.

And found it from the front page. Just wondering if this is supposed to work like this, or if I'm not supposed to be able to see it until you've approved it. I would assume the latter, which is whey I'm trying to bring it to your attention, because while I'm not going to post anything innappropriate, some people will.

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that I can upload a pic here and link it straight away, I just know that there are people out there who like posting inappropriate images, and the way the current system is means that anyone can chance upon them the moment they're posted.

I'm reasonably sure that while they don't go to the front page until approved, they also don't go to player or item pages until approved either. This will obviously minimise the chance of anyone seeing something they shouldn't on this site, but not eliminate the risk entirely.

Adding to that, if I view Blazza's profile I can't see the pic.

Click on the top left image on the front page, then click on the image, that will take you to the next image, keep clicking should take you through all the unapproved images. As I said, I think not many people realise it's that easy, but I'm pretty sure anyone can view those unapproved images.

Could as well use its ID directly too. Well that flow can be easily fixed by admins anyway.

Well even so, its pending. So I still have to approve it for others to view. If some douche is gonna go submit some inappropriate image, just tell me or an admin. We still have to approve it for others to see on the profile or main page.

But I do see what you are saying, I'll let Scragg know. Probably no one told him of it before.
