Quote:
The damage of a hand-to-hand weapon is added to a character's natural hand-to-hand damage. A character's natural hand-to-hand damage is calculated by multiplying hand-to-hand skill by 0.11 and then adding 3. When calculating the Weapon Rank, however, the number used as the weapon base damage is the number displayed on the weapon plus 3, with no contribution from hand-to-hand skill.

This is some information on H2H. Simply put:
(Skill (including gear) * 0.11) + 3.

If you can't break the next tier of DMG, then focus on ATT.

Ya mean that somebody asked an honest question? I know it's an easy look up, but maybe they come here often and wouldn't mind a quick answer. No need to jump somebody's case, ya? At least they are asking questions and not just being a stubborn, ignorant player :D.

Might not want to use that word, *some* people tend to get a little emotional about it.

Ok so h2h IS different from other weapons. Skill gear not only increases accuracy and attack, but also the base damage. (That's why h2h weapons say "DMG+" and not just "DMG.") The formula given is right, but I'd add that you need to remember to round the result down. So what you wend up with are various "sweet spots" where your base damage increases. Anything between these spots though only increases accuracy and attack.

So you're on the right track OP, but there is still a problem. If you are looking for maximum damage output, there isn't any skill gear that currently gets you there. There are better choices for each of your neck, hands and ear slots- rancorous, melee+2/nomkhapa and ghillie+1.

All that being said, I still TP in faith. Mavericky etc.

It might be better to show what gear you're considering swapping your H2H skill for compared to where you want to stack Att.

Might be a little easier to help you with your "issue".
