Anybody have any suggestions on what foods to skill up on from 100-110? I am about to hit 101 from red Curry, so I think I should start to work on getting the other 9 levels.

Sadly, we only have 4 new recipes to skill up on post-100. Cidd commented on the caps in another thread here.

I did Red Curry to 101, Walnut Cookies to 103 (lots of logging in East Ron[S]/Jugner[S]), Dragon Fruit to 105 (lots of logging in Fort K-N) with a couple stacks of Date Tea thrown in there when possible - though Harvesting AND Logging was an annoying route for that synth - and am currently buying Cerberus/Buffalo meat to finish the final 5 Cooking levels.

Good luck, man.

Is there any info on the himesama riceballs yet?
Skilling with steaks is looking to cost up to 5mil+, minus money from selling them. But that doesn't look promising seeing as how it's rather lack luster in comparison to RCB.

Cerberus meat 101-110... w/ Hocho, Stall, Body, Head, and Image no issues, and 400-500k for stack isnt that bad.

Rather pay for the meat.. than "wasting" time harvesting, If got the gil for it.

Shows how much attention I've paid to synthesis above 100 as of late... I just got my Cooking mule to 100 and figured I was done with Dragon Meats... and yikes at the 50k for Cerb Meat.... synth is at least a 20k loss here on Sylph atm. Glad I kinda stocked up a little on Dragon Fruits to get towards 105. Whats the cap on Date Tea?

Jacodat gives me Dragon tank, along with salisbury steak, as one of the synthesis recipes at 107 skill.

Cooking, Leathercraft
Earth crystal
1x Karakul leather
1x brass tank
4x Dragon fruit au lait

Don't npc those au laits!

Anyone have an idea on how high leathercraft needs to be for the Dragon Tank?

Is there a way for recipes to be added to "Recipes" section of the site, it doesn't look like any have been added in a long time...

The recipes haven't been updated for years. Your best bet is to check bg wiki or FFXI wiki.

As for food skill ups between 100-110, your best bet is cap out at 101 for red curry, then 101-107? using himesama rice balls. The most expensive part is the Burdock root but you can also harvest these as well. The only problem I found with these rice balls is that they are hard to sell either 1) People don't know about them or 2) Doesn't replace any other foods, so you may end up trashing the product.

I'm also curious on the skill level for leathercraft sub on Dragon tank. What I saw someone do is make the tank and dispose all the au laits and resynth. This can be a cheaper way to get you to lvl 109.

But odds are, if you're willing to log in the nightmare of all logging zones that is FKN for dragon fruit, of which you need 2 per synth, odds are you hate yourself in ways that can't be fixed. Harvesting the burdock roots is much much easier than dragon fruit, and will get you farther.

Something to keep in mind as well with this, you can harvest them in Grauberg along with lesser chigoes. I Harvested through 2 stacks of sickles and made 1M profit from synergizing Dipper jugs. May take a little longer since you have to harvest yourself but at least youre making money along the way.

Annoying that dates are so rare. It's a *** date. NPCs should sell them for 129g. Why do they only come from assaults or from random logging?

Is this the best way to go from 101-110?

Harvesting sucks.

It can possibly be the fastest if you can camp the AH all day because there will be fierce competition for them. And you will almost certainly craft at a lost but compared to other synths it shouldn't be much.

The Dragon tank is a very good alternative if you're willing to harvest a few fruits. They do pop up on the AH a bit more frequently now so you can get them that way as well. You can craft the au laits to 102 or 103 and then go with dragon tanks the rest of the way. Since the recipe only requires 4 au laits and the tank returns 5, you can technically craft to 109 with only 4 au laits, assuming you don't have a horrid break rate. The other drawback is that this one requires 20 goldsmithing and 15? leathercraft.

I hit 105 Cooking today, I have been doing Himesama Riceballs with Kitron Macarons and I have been getting abour 1-1.5 levels from about 3-5 stacks of materials.

I made sure I got the whole harvesting set to farm up the Burdock and it really isn't so bad with the increased harvesting results. A stack of Burdock here costs about 250k/stack, so I farm it whenever there is nothing going on and low on gil, otherwise I just buy it.

After you hit 107, it is best to move onto Smoldering Salisbury Steak to hit 110 so you don't need to worry about a 45% break rate when skilling up from 101.

I've been spamming Dragon Fruit Au Laits and Dragon Tanks since I hit 100. Rather nice synth even when I critical break, as long as it's less than 25% I come out w/ more materials. I started with ~24 dragon au laits, I have about 40 now. PITA to go harvest the imp tea leaves and make karakul leather though. I have 0 Goldsmithing, it only requires Leathercraft sub.

True this. I got 5+ stacks of Burdocks among other things in my last trip, made like a million gil off the other stuff too. Screw dragon fruits.

in the last month they actually start releasing recipes like 112 or lvl 114 too lol

Who's main ingredient's are drops from delve bosses... If there not primeval brew level with stat boosts there not worth even thinking about.

Yeah, I recently hit 97 cooking with one of my mules and none of the high level recipes from 100-110 look that inviting to try and skill with. They all require rare materials that can be quite expensive to break. I'll give those rice balls an attempt next full moon.

It's not that bad now with mog garden, u can get walnuts from groves fairly often, also a lot of the often rare gear ain't so rare anymore with adoulin.

Just doing a quick check on carbuncle server currently 2x12 stacks(50k) & 37 singles(2k). so fairly easy to do now & plenty of supplies all due to mog garden mainly.
