Since late last night 11pm gmt ive had problems logging in, 1st it says pol-1160 repeatedly, then when i can login and try to load my character up it crashes with Pol-0011, is anyone else having these problems?

Which isp you guys using? not had any problems with lolvirgin (yet).
YOU having the same isue maiestas? im on BT infinity aswell.....
BT is the bane of my life ;_;, but my friend is on BT as well and she is able to log on without any problems.
are you stuck at the login screen 2? this is driving me nuts :(

stuck at the login screen, i managed to log in from where i D/ced last night and got kicked out of aby, but got stuck at the downloading data screen. gonna flip tables and ***.
IM getting as far as the character screen now but getting "cannot connect to lobby" and it boots me back, time for work now tho, hopefully issue is resolved by time i get back, GL!!
I'm also having the same problems, and I'm also with BT. It did this to me the other day but after 10 mins it let me back on, but this time is a no go.
I've tried alsorts to get it back on and nothing yet.... and actually this site hardly wants to load up 3/4 of the time, it took me 20 mins just to sign in and post this lol.

It's BT. Myself and a few friends all DC'd at pretty much the exact same time last night and have been experiencing log in issues ever since.
I'm just happy to find out it's not only me lol.
I DC'd around midnight... spent till 3:30am trying to log back in every 5 or 10 mins lol.

i've managed to log in, done it a few times and everytime i went to a new area it would just be stuck at the downloading data screen, seems okay now but i don't wanna jynx it ;_;

Same problem but only on 2 of my chars so as all 4 are on the same pc I cant see it being an ISP problem
Use this precious time to socialize and meet with loved ones. Or do what I do and spend hours upon hours playing TF2 and trying to figure out why my PSP memory stick thinks it can just destroy 60 hours of Dissidia gameplay without consulting me.
I am having similar issues, cant log in on both my laptop or my Xbox. I am also on BT which is making wish I had another broadband provider lol.
I'm pretty sure I have read elsewhere this morning that some people are being d/ced when they zone so maybe game related anyway.

Wow, i'm really glad i'm not the only one this is happening too. Also with BT. Stopped around 11ish last night too. I've got two accounts, but neither will let me in. I was able to get it working for about ten seconds earlier, but stopped whilst it was loading my friends list. Eeeek.
Me too, BT business ADSL2+.
Watching the TCP/IP connections, all the IPs it tries to connect to can ping fine, but for some reason the traffic on the specific ports POL uses is timing out.

I would recommend reporting this to BT, it's mostly likely some kind of traffic shaping they've added which is screwing FFXI up.

its working better for me, but when i zone sometimes i get stuck.
Oh, nice to know it wasn't just me then. Mine is working too now (as of like, 10 mins ago).
I cant test till i get home 2night at around 8pm so fingers crossed! Been with BT for 6months now and this is the 1st major failure ive had bar the odd random dc now and again! Do we know what happened or any way to stop this in the future??
Typically it's because they decide to close a port their end that FFXI needs to work correctly. TalkTalk did it a couple times whilst I was with them. Sadly there is nothing we can do about it other than wait for them to undo it.
All working now my end, yes they must have fixed it. I know my modem has issues alot with BT, always losing broadband signal every now and then.
If it carries on im gonna buy a new one seperate from BT and use that.

BT is a pile of ******* ****, lost 2 Fafnir to this POL-CODE-BS last night, and its just started to happen all over again.

I get the same problem, I'm also GMT and with BT. Do the following and it should work like a charm afterwards.
Log out completely, open a command window (run > cmd) and enter "ipconfig /flushdns", then try to reconnect.
