So i recorded a bass cover and put it on youtube, since i hate just learning songs and just forgetting them i decided i'd make a kind of back catalogue on youtube.
I soon realised there must be other bass and guitar players and perhaps other people who record covers or videos who use ffxiah and decided to make this thread for people to post their own covers in! I for one would love to see them and have discussions!
So heres my first one in years, i'll update the thread as i do more if it picks up :)

You should really look into 5 strings too btw, it might not seem "needed", but once you get used to it, not having that juicy H string is just wrooong.

Thanks ^^ and yeh i am looking into a 5 string, probably a warwick rockbass corvette $$. It annoys me when i dont have enough strings to cover a song haha! Not to mention i'm into alot of very heavy music, in which lower strings are pretty popular :P. I've never heard of H either until now, good to know!

I'm waiting on some custom gauge strings to arrive though, because my band plays in F#AEADF#B, lol. Which is more or less standard tuning for an 8 string >_< Need like a .80 for the low F#, crazy low.

I want an RG2228, I just don't have £1599 to throw at one at the moment, lol. Oh yeah, then a pair of Bareknuckles at like £400 on top of that too.

Saw them in a small venue in Bergen a few years ago, was awesome!
Really hope I can see them again someday, and be less wasted so I can remember more of it :( lol

Amazing choice of song too, that thing is a masterpiece.
I can't play a reasonable amount of it, just not very well when I've got a headache. I suck at the intro too. I'm gonna keep working on it though, and probably record a video when I get it to a modest standard.

EDIT: Actually, it just occurred to me that it's probably primarily the mix. Levels on that Soundcloud player look really high, you're probably clipping constantly and it's killing your tone. Remember the mix on Metallica's last album? Same ***.
