I'm a tarutaru BLU with low HP outside of abby - so I was curious how much White Wind could potentially cure for me.

I have 0 HP merits - all merits are in MP.

From other threads here, it is understood that:
White Wind formula is floor(HP/7)*2, also augmented by cure potency

I decided to mix & match subjobs & atmas to determine how to get the maximum healing out of this spell.

Test scenario setup:
Region: Abyssea Altepa
Obtained All 6 Abyssite of Merit - HP+80% (20% from base, 10% from each abyssite)

I dont really have an established HP+ set on the test server, but I was able to cobble together a 300 HP+ boost with the following armor set:

I didnt have any HP boosting food on the test server.

Here are my results:

Job Atmas Results (Apollo staff - Cure Potency+10%) Results (Swords)
BLU95/NIN47 Dark Blade (HP+40%), MM, Apoc 1144 1049
BLU95/WHM47 Dark Blade (HP+40%), MM, Apoc 1049 954
BLU95/WHM47 Rescuer (Cure Potenty+10%), MM, Apoc 940 862
BLU95/WHM47 Dark Blade (HP+40%), Rescuer (Cure Potenty+10%), MM 1144 1049
BLU95/WHM47 Ebon Hoof(HP+30%), Dark Blade (HP+40%), MM 1188 1080
BLU95/WHM47 Ebon Hoof(HP+30%), Dark Blade (HP+40%), Rescuer (Cure Potenty+10%) 1269 (2592 with Divine Seal) 1188
BLU95/WHM47 Ebon Hoof(HP+30%), Dark Blade (HP+40%),Impregnable Tower(HP+30%) 1328 (2656 with Divine Seal) 1208
BLU95/MNK47 Ebon Hoof(HP+30%), Dark Blade (HP+40%),Impregnable Tower(HP+30%) 1474 1340

Doesn't seem very practical with all the HP atma and stuff unless you are being a main healer in an exp party or something. I remember in my normal cure build for magic fruit it did around ~450 heal or so.

Not really, if you are low manning one WHM is more than sufficient. He could be doing something else while you are fighting that to speed things up or actually help you fight it with real atma. I've done things "low man" in Abyssea and nothing requires more than a single WHM.

Still, nothing wrong with suggesting an alternative to WHM as a main healer.

If nothing else, it'll be a very nice tool for tanking outside abyssea. I'm sure the hate generated is pretty high?

Since they're adding new puks that will use it,as well as the 100% T4 zeni drops.Makes me wonder if these are the start of the ToAU adjustments with more on the way :o

Cures are mostly VE and you'd need a lot of other people in range to make it remotely MP-efficient, so not really.
