Which Shamishir Is Good?

I've also hit 75, I thought the Dex one would be good for the Accuracy for spells, but people on this thread say STR, would that be a much better option for general DD? or just collect loads like Kyaaadaa?

It's not bad to have, but you'll rarely need it.

I personally went 1STR 1DEX and wish I just went 2STR to begin with. Never had a problem with acc really, although my sword is 8/8 so maybe for people who don't have space for sword merits? Can't imagine the 16 skill being hard to make up elsewhere though.

With spells like feather barrier and auroral drape and eva atmas it worked pretty well in scars/visions zone. In Heroes zone it may be a bit harder.

If you have a NIN THF DNC it's still probably more effective to eva tank or solo on those jobs, since they have higher base EVA, that means they can use more DD gears while BLU has to use more eva gears. And cast spells to deal dmg is still a bit slower than NIN DNC THF melee TP WS full time with DD gears. But if you don't play NIN THF DNC, eva set is pretty nice to have for BLU.

On a side note what's your opinions on the machaero or w/e its called that adds a 100 tp bonus to ws dmg. Just finished my 1st of 2 -pdt to 75 cap today then when those are done 2x eva. those 4 and possibly a machaero and even considering a lowers acc +15 variant should allow me to build any combo I need.

The +100tp one is garbage to the best of my knowledge. The only one of that set one might make would be the straight WS damage +10% in hopes of incorporating that into a Sanguine Blade build. You can get scary high Sanguine Blades with the right stuff.

I see there is a lot of hate on the Macc stick and I realize inside abyssea it would be completely useless, but I'm still considering one for outside of abyssea. 75 mp is 75 mp for a Hume.

Right now I have 1 STR 1 AGI 1 DEX and halfway done with the lame part of the pdt trials (cactuars > lizards > rafflesia) and looking at what to do next. I know I need to do another STR and AGI (AGI is so easy to do I'm not even worried about it), kinda looking at the 2-4 hit khanda. But it seems more like a fun toy rather than something that I would actually use.

Would a 75 mp sword rly be that bad out of abyssea? The trials look really easy, about 250 less kills than the STR sword, with the only "hard" one being the Evil Weapons. Blu is my 3rd most played job, I'm currently working on the Ukko for my War, and my BLM is done. Basically I'm saying I'm not doing an Almace atm.

Only fight I can remember on a mage where max mp was an issue was ul'yovra solo at 75 on blm. As it was a race against its regen to kill it and getting the very most out of full mp pool was important. I cant think of any nms now you would solo on blu comfortably where max mp would be an issue so much that you'd sacrifice dmg from str/attk shamshir, badelaire+2 or almace.

Blm is done? done all those staffs? id get 7/8 +5 affinity dmg before macc sword.

75mp means nothing after u use 75mp, so in other words yes it is pretty much useless
