Blu Pdt- Set

Was courioust to no what other blu's were useing as a PDT- set. I was looking around yesterday and i didnt see much avialable to blu. (hoping im jsut missing things.)

This is all i realy found for Pdt


I beleive you could fill the other ring slot trhough dark ring farming. And the weapons debateable. (Be it HQ, or dual swords, or the sword+shield combo. However afer doing my scythe trials, and two dagger trials, i am not eager to do any more.)
The darksteel set seems almost irrelavent, but i didnt see any other options. Again, im hoping im missing some decent option. Any other ideas?

denali hands, hq darksteel etc

-2%pdt darkness earrings, -6% rings

getting ppl to go do a nyzul run these days is nearly impossible. And since i was only DD before aby, i never picked up any denali

getting 2 people to do nyzule is hard yo q.q

Find a crafter, hq all that stuff. And once you get more don't forget to account or cheviot/umbra being doubled at night.

do you realize I don't care.

The only way my disability really affects me "playing" is how long I can stay sitting before either my back hurts or I just need to move loll.

Because i have 9 herniated disks in my lower and middle back now. I cant spend much time at the comp anymore which makes this game rather diffacult to get thigns done anymore.

And btw, nowhere in this thread did i ever say i wouldnt do nyzul. I simply said its not to easy to find ppl that want to do it anymore.

Edit: i knew I forgot something.. with the PDT earrings you won't even need the denali hands to cap out PDT. Problem solved on Nyzul.

Double edit: I personally don't like using jelly anymore, due to the mad crazy magic spam of the abyssea mobs, i farmed for dark rings and never looked back. =) Just a thought though!

sigh triple edit: The PDT swords are good, but I think you would be better off asking Draylo/Blazza which swords to use >_> I will guess they will say an Almace, or str swords. Just my guess.. You can cap PDT without the swords.

I'd use Almace/VITShamshir+2 or Almace/STRShamshir+2 depending on whether I was tanking etc or not. Investing in a PDT sword is really handy - plus you can do VITShamshir+2/Genbu Shield for Whisker pulling.

Well i wont be useing this set all to often. I dont generaly even use Blu all to often, which is part of why i wouldnt want to go though sword trials if i didnt need to.

however that set does give me some good ideas, so thank you for the input!

Side note: one other question, does twilight torque stack with the rest of pdt since its listed simply as 'dmg taken'? (meaning can u have 50% pdt + that 5% from torque, or does it count meaning 45% pdt +5% form torque=cap)

That's what i am using currently



Shamshir +2 with phys dmg-10%
Anwig salade with enmity+/fast cast+
Desultor Tassets with phys dmg-4% and enmity+

Caps you out during day and nighttime, and can switch earring out for w/e

It refers to 5% all damage taken meaning magical and physical, and it does count towards the 50% cap.

Edit: listen to Raen, as they are WAY more knowledgeable then me :D

This is what i currently use for whisker burning. 52% during day, 57% at night. a bit over cap, but hoping i can switch to sword/shield if i decide to go after genboob, or if they increase the pdt on the ToM sword.

edit: rings are PDT-5% and PDT-6%

At least if you're using Atma of the Lion for Charged Whisker burning you can take out 10% pdt if need be ;/

Melaco Mittens have PDT+3%.



This is what I use for Charged Whisker burns and certain fights like soloing Mother Globe.


^40% PDT, 46% at night. Could use Almace/PDT Shamshir with this, not that that's really a concern for you, but if you're trying to be flexible with your weapons this would be what you're aiming for. Best bet is probably getting the Darksteel +1 crafted rather than waiting for it to pop up on the AH.

PDT cap is 50% so you only need 40% with Atma of the Lion which you should use anyways for Charged Whiskers. Additionally since we would swap to a Jupiter's staff for CW you might as well use your Terra's staff because you'd just be making life harder if you insisted on using swords.

This set optimizes -pdt, refresh and running speed at the same time. You could swap refresh pieces for def or vit pieces but this should allow you to use all 3 atma lion/bh/ultimate without worrying too much about your refresh rate. Additionally, if you're not kiting you may go for the refresh sub. but I chose not to since I'm an elvaan male with pale thighs.

Another thing about the sword issue. You shouldn't even really be meleeing if you are using atma for CW. I'd recommend making a regurgitation set and relying on that as your primary damage source while you are using atmas geared towards CW, it gives no hate has a low recast time and does decent damage.

If you need to cap amber use DD atmas macros, and Saguine blade then swap over to the CW atmas.

Just wanted to add to what Galith is saying, and show my -PDT that brings it to 40% easily:



The Dark Rings are 6% and 4% PDT. Since I typically use this for pulling and aftercast CW, it would probably be best to either use the remaining other slots for Evasion+.
