Personally I've killed with 5-6 people 3-4 Warriors /Sam preferred. Thief and a White Mage. Build TP on Crawlers and Pop 2 hours and zerg.
Other damage dealers could work to used samurais on occasion.

Also NM will still despawn if you wipe and deal more then ~10-15% of his Hp Regardless of what people say about this being fixed.
