Monk Help!

Okay, i'd like to think my monk is quite well geared but i'm struggling with abyssea and monk.

With most jobs the atma that you take for them are obvious depending on your weaponskill/weaponskill mods.

But this doesn't seem to be the case for monk...

I can't do good Asuran's/Tornado Kick numbers (at least what i'd consider good inside abyssea).

I have tryed Razed Ruins, Gnarled Horn and Stout Arm. Admittedly not at the same time as i had to take an hp atma for monk! 4k is Nice.

Anyway, help me out? Pulease... my numbers suck :'(

RR/GH/APOC, use ascetics fury.

hmmmm, don't have apoc yet, still need Raja then i'm onto shin.

Don't have asccetics fury yet either lol, breaking my weapon atm, i've seen alot of people using that, and since you mentioned the crit atma's i'm going to go out on a limb and say it's Crit based?

Are the numbers actually that good?

bhb until ascetic's although if you're on a decent floor breaking it shouldn't take too long. bhb and ascetics are both crit ws.

razed ruins is so broken that pretty much any non crit ws isn't worth using.

The reason you arent getting good numbers with RR or GH is because the stats on them do nothing for Asuran fist/Tornado Kick, the only atma actually helping those ws is stout arm.

Ascetics fury is a crit ws and produces some moderate ws numbers with Apoc/RR/GH. Its fair to say that you can average anywhere from 2-3k on your ws, which is decently moderate for a non-emp crit ws.

get all Abyssites of Merit, I sit @ 3500hp avg from all zones with 0 hp atmas

but get into a exp party just to break fury asap

can sub Apoc with Alpha/Omega if u have limbus omega title

After getting Ascetics Fury, i'd strongly suggest focusing your attention on getting either a Verethragna or Revenant Fists +2. Fury is only a decent hold off for Victory Smite.

Is the empy weapon hard to get?

And i know some elite players can and do get them in a day, but i am far from elite. I was actually just considering posting a thread about this, i'm considering looking into one, and are they really worth the time/effort?

Without a doubt they are worth the effort. The hardest part of getting the Monk Empy is farming chloris buds. After that's done, it's all downhill. Victory Smite literally buries Ascetics Fury's *** in the dirt. It's not reasonable to expect to get the thing done in a day but if you have a few friends who dont mind helping you farm and kill, it's safe to assume that with some determination and perserverence, you can have it done inside of a week. I'm stuck using R. Fists +2 because I lack the friends to do Chloris over and over.

It's not hard but it is pretty time consuming.

dont wanna do ver because ive been helping a friend farm chloris buds for scythe and i dont wanna do that again

glavoid is always favored for us during cleave gold chest farming, cuz we usually get 5 glavoids to 1 chloris >.>
