Been working on fire taipans, but recently noticed that the earth version is statistically similar (sans the atk and STR), but it offers a -15% def down proc.

While the fire taipans are higher DPS, the earth's def-down effect procs at something like a 30% rate from what I've researched.

To my question: Is the earth's def-down version worth it? Does it stack with other def-down effects? On the drg forum was reading a magian polearm they have access too has a similar proc, but does NOT stack with angon/other def down effects. This is obviously a huge turn off.

I've searched for discussion comparing the two and can't find much just besides raw DPS numbers. Anyone care to offer some input?

I did the def down ones up to the first 75 cap. Stacks with box step and dia, made a big difference just eyeballing and lasts 30 seconds, but the procs were *** (like 5%) which is why I stopped working on it. I haven't looked into these in quite awhile, it'd be nice if they did up the rate.
