Final Fantasy Versus XIII On Xbox 360? Square's 'Looking Into It'

"Will Square Enix's long-in-the-making Final Fantasy Versus XIII follow the lead of its predecessor and make the leap from the PS3 to the Xbox 360? Probably... err Square Enix is "looking into it," according to the company's president.

Yoichi Wada told attendees at an investors meeting today in Tokyo that, despite claims that the more action oriented Final Fantasy Versus XIII would be "PS3 only worldwide," the publisher may consider a multi-platform release. But there's some "looking into it" to be done, so don't expect an announcement of that sort until closer to the game's next major unveiling.

I really only play JRPGs anyway. When they bring them out multi-platform this gen, I just buy them on the PS3.

I really don't understand the obsession with everyone going multi-platform though. It does nothing but hold games back. I would rather see a game push the limits of a single console, than see a game watered down to be multi-platform because they can't have one better than the other.

This happening to the FF series is not surprising though, FF is basically the equivalent of what Madden is to sports games; something with no challenge that a five year old kid or complete dumb *** can pick up and play.

the *** 360 will ruin the game...that console doesn't have the power to run the game as it stands. Why the HELL would SE do this? If they were to port this to 360 they may as well give PS3 Agito -.-

It is true that the 360 would limit the games capabilities. However who knows how long it is going to take to release this game, it may even be long enough to where it comes out on Microsofts new system(yes its in the works).

Either way, if they have to inhibit the games visual and game play capabilities due to the system limitations, I'm all for abandoning the 360 users. =P

please show me your proof because from what I see, everything that the PS3 has is far beyond the 360 aside from 1 or 2 minor things. You say 360 > ps3 but why does my 360 lag out in Besieged in my PS3 doesn't.........

Actually the 360 has a higher shading video card than the PS3 which means it can load pixels faster(its also been proven just google it). At the besieged comment, i dont know probably because the PS3 stores more information on its HDD cache where the 360 loads it straight up causing lag.

I don't think that's a good example. The Xbox version of FFXI is a faulty port, while the PS3 emulates the original PS2 version.

The PS3 has the higher specs, but it's more difficult to make games for it. That's why multi-platform games tend to look the same or better on the 360, but well made PS3 exclusives (like Uncharted) look the best.

Master System vs NES, NES better. Genesis vs SNES, Gen more powerful, SNES was better. Playstation vs Saturn, Saturn more powerful, PSX better. Hell, these console *** would be able to convince you the Atari Jaguar was the most powerful 64-bit system by quoting wiki specs.

In the end ppl, it's the damn games and its gameplay that matter. The gameplay. Not the specs, not the 15 hours of Cinematics thats taking up 50% of the Blu-ray disc... THE *** GAMEPLAY!!! Come up with a better arguement please.
