The + WS % is looking pretty nice however it still requires a ridiculous amount of very awesome gear to get the 5 hit unlike the STP route. For a casual gamer like me, I'm happy with the STP route.

For the WS build, You must Tachi: Kasha Killshot 300 beast-type mobs.
Result: DMG:95 DLY:464 weaponskill damage +10%

With the new AF3 gear available it even makes getting a 5hit with the WS DMG+10% relatively easy. 29STP is required from gear and if you +2 the Helm and Pants then that's 15 already.

Unkai Kabuto +8 - Unkai Haidate +7 - Rajas Ring +5 - Rose Strap +4 - Brutal Earring +1 - Usukane Sune-ate +7 = 32STP so overkill on these bits. You could use Byakko's Haidate for 1% more Haste and also Askar Korazin if your accuracy is capped and don't own any Usukane.

Very happy I didn't go down the STP route!

well worth the work to obtain I went with the WS% +10 and have no regrets.

In regards to Trial 2138 (Weapon skill: DMG +10%):
At first glance, this great katana looked amazing to me. High delay making a 5 - hit easier, high base damage, increasing weapon skill damage and damage per hit, and the amazing weapon skill damage +10%. After owning this great katana for a few months now, and wondering why I didn't feel as huge a difference as I thought I would, I finally realized what it is. This weapon does not give weapon skill damage +10%, (Increasing a 1000 dmg gekko to 1100 dmg), but during weapon skills, increases the base DMG by 10%, (currently increasing it by 9.5, bringing DMG to 104.5 during a weapon skill). Which is actually what the weapon says, I guess people just see and hear what they want to hear though. This doesn't make it a bad GK in any way though, that's equivalent to adding 12 2/3 STR to your weapon skill, and the high base DMG adds a very noticeable amount to each hit.

Besides the +2 Unkai Gear being hard to obtaion you also need to WS in atleast +15 STP gear to TP in Unkai Kabuto +8 - Unkai Haidate +7 - Rajas Ring +5 - Rose Strap +4 - Brutal Earring +1 - Usukane Sune-ate +7 = 32STP.

So the STP Route will allow less +stp Gear while not hindering your WS setup at all. Stp as of now is probably still the superior choice for most players.
