You don't have to compare this GK with onimaru or shinsoku, they are for different purpose, this is a pure TP weapon with 480 delay and store TP+2 that means a 6 hit -> WS just using this and a +4 store TP equip, even no equip with merits, 5 hits with good equip.

there are only 2 GK in this game with 480 delay, this and Futsuno Mitama (lol at Shinai)

using a 450 delay GK you need another +21 store TP to reach the 6 hits-to-ws, 10 with merits, 11 from equip.

using a 480 delay GK you just need a +4 store Tp for the 6 hits-to-ws, no problems if you have merits.

with merits, any stupid store TP equip and a rajas ring you can hit the 6 hits set, but you ever tryed a 5 hits set?

add haste, songs and hasso, and have fun ^^

In regards to discussion about Onimari. All "Latent Effect: DMG:XX" Weapons have their fSTR cap based on the Non latent, and thus generally have an fSTR value 1-2 points lower than a weapon of equal damage (compared to the below 100tp latent). Pachipachio is Better than Onimaru (though not enough to justify the price, but then again, what is?) for a few Reasons, Namely as above, but also as many have stated, the 5hit build as well as the fact you don't lose your Attack power once TP exceeds 100%. Also, it looks damn sexy (Daedric Dai-Katana look-alike if you're a Morrowind Player!)

Pachipachio is bazaared for 7-10 Million. This Katana + the way to get it isn't worth that much. Wait till the price drops and you'll save 2-5 Million gil (Comment Score: -3, keep on going with the minus ;))

As you can see to your left the prices dropped to 2.5-5 Million on some Servers.

This weapon can be a monster as 5-hit with maxed out Store TP merits and Ikishoten Merits. It builds on this weapon's negative accuracy perfectly. If you miss, and the 45% chance of Zanshin kicking in kicks in, you get 43% TP on your next hit during a 5-hit.

If you build towards using this sword, actually specialize your merits for it, it's crazy. TP gain is incredibly fast, damage is significant. Double Attack and Merits are a must to make this weapon a monster to be feared.

Have nothing but good experiences with it so far.

this weapon is awesome. why? because with good gear you can get 20 tp from ws/every hit
this means you can always do 100tp ws even when you use meditate which give you 20tp/tick. see what i mean?

The thing you aren't considering is Delay:480. Making 5 hit GKT setup very easily obtained. 4 hit after ws.

This Great Katana is one of the two in the entire game able to build a 5-hit for 100% TP, so you can easily WS with this Great Katana Every 4 hits, just need Store TP 5/5 + Store TP +17 from gear. The other one is Futsuno Mitama that drops from AV and is almost impossible to obtain.

respectfully disagree with the sentiment regarding 300TP; onimaru is still better than this (since the latent is active on ws); 1 more damage, 6 more attack and 11 more accuracy.
