Reason why this has made Mezraq worthless is because of 3 things
1. +1 damage same delay = more DoT
2. its cheaper to make Mez costs over 1M to make this might cost 500k most
3. It looks better then a warped rusty fork
When you consider this who is going to pay more for a lance that is second best to this thats cheaper?
This is untrue. fSTR varies on how much STR it takes to raise base damage a point based on where your STR - monsters VIT is currently at. Check the equations.
If you had a Mez for a long time you might as well keep it. You more then got your gils worth using it. These 2 polearms are pretty much identical minus the cost to make. The real difference is in the the gear you have and merits. 1 more base dmg and +2dex is nothing to a 75drg. You will not notice any difference in using one from the other. Tried and tested.
I'm still not sure why Wiki states you need 4-6 Str to raise fSTR. Check the listed equations... It takes 4 Str, and only 4 str to raise fSTR by 1.
~50% of the time Mezraq will have equal base damage to the Thalassocrat, but the Thalassocrat will always have the 2 dex (1 acc, .5% hit rate) advantage. It's not huge, but it is an advantage.
