The -5 acc on the barbarians will really show itself when you get to bird camps. Remember +25 attack means nothing if you cant hit anything, the lower delay on this weapon is also excellent.
Why bother arguing about all this when Great Axe with Sturmwind is better than any weapon skill a DRK gets until level 60 anyways?
Grab yourself a GAX, keep scythe skilled but don't hurt your party with it's horrid DoT just because you like looking like the grim reaper or something.
And get an Axe Belt to compensate for the skill difference. Any who argue this point haven't even looked at it, and are just flat closed minded. Thank you.
Do not use this scythe. DPS is not an absolute value; if you use it absolutely, "you are not seeing the woods for the trees". IT DOES NOT INCLUDE TP/HIT, or anything but DMG and Delay. Barbarian's Scythe has +25 attack... which is not included in that calculation.
Here are the facts.
The difference in damage (2DMG and 25 attack) is titanic. There is no competition. Barbarian's Scythe will overpower this one BY FAR. Even if you consider the -5acc to make you lose 3 hits out of every 100 (50% chance), then you will STILL do more damage with Barbarian's.
Delay is not so significant because with lower delay comes more hits to 100% TP, so the overall damage is not altered too much!
And additional effect: darkness? Compared to the differences in power between the scythes, it's laughable.
Don't be a sheep. Barbarian's Scythe may be lower level but it's MUCH better.
Actually, Haste favours higher delay weapons as it quickens swings by a greater amount (for example, 10% of 150 is only -15 delay, but 10% of 400 is -40 delay) all for the same TP gain.
